Check to see what ohm your speakers are using. I know the 3063 supports both 6 and 8 ohm but it is defaulted at 8.

I JUST EXPERIENCED THE SAME SITUATION HERE IS THE SOULTION YAMAHA SENT ME TO RESET THE SYSTEM HTR-5990 YAMAHA HTR-5990 FACTORY PRESET PROCEDURES All models require the STANDBY/ON button to be turned OFF to start the reset process. NOTE: The remote control cannot be used during the reset procedure. All necessary buttons to complete the reset process are located on the front panel of the receiver. This procedure is not intended to correct intermittent shut-off symptoms or problems MODEL: HTR-5990 (U.S.A. model/s) (BEFORE YOU CONTINUE, PLEASE READ THE ABOVE NOTES!) 1. Before you start this procedure, locate the MASTER ON/OFF button and the STRAIGHT/EFFECT button on the Front Panel of the unit. 2. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR RECEIVER’S MASTER ON/OFF HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. 3. With the Right Hand, press and hold the STRAIGHT/EFFECT button. With the Left Hand, press the MASTER ON/OFF button and HOLD both buttons for no more than “3” SECONDS, AT THE SAME TIME. SP IMP. * 8 MIN. will appear on the display, which indicates you are in the Diagnostics Mode. 4. Rotate the PROGRAM KNOB to the right (ONCE) until the display reads PRESET *CANCEL. 5. Press the STRAIGHT/EFFECT button (ONCE) and the display will change to PRESET RESET. 6. Turn the unit off by pressing the MASTER ON/OFF button. 7. Wait 5 seconds, then turn the unit on by pressing the MASTER ON/OFF button. You have now reset your component to the factory settings. NOTE: Yamaha receivers don’t have to be reset during normal operation. It is not recommended that you reset the receiver unless a setting has been changed that you are not aware of, or the receiver is not operating properly. Make sure your audio output on your PS3 is configured properly. You have the ability to chose which port the audio is coming out of.
The 6050 does NOT process audio signals coming in on the HDMI port. The amp is weak, I had one. With the 6050 you will have to use the AV multi coming out of the PS3 and use the special cable that came with the PS3 to convert that signal to the RCA and connect that to the 6050.

You can at a minimum, bi-wire your speakers by wiring the speakers with the A and B speaker outputs. The A speaker outputs end up running the tweeters and the B will end up powering the woofers.

as long as there is a speaker out from the receiver you should be ok just make sure polarity for spkr is right --remember you workng with AC current bad wire will cause fire==

You can use a hi-level to low-level adapter. Just remember, the Yamaha does not send power (wattage) to the sub, just signal. You need to use a subwoofer that has an amplifier either externally or built in.
Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.
Add things one at a time until you identify the one component (probably a speaker) that is causing the problem.

Strangely enough, that message is NOT documented in the HTR-3063 manual, but in another Yamaha manual (HTR-5063) it means the speaker being tested is believed to be Out of Phase, meaning wired incorrectly.
