The screen is usually a replaceable part. You should always try to replace a broken part yourself first. search model name plus "repair guide" on any search engine.They will show details about about part replacement etc. in detail. There are other websites that sell all the replacement parts, one of the bigger ones is http://portatronics.com (646) 797 2838. Then for the repair itself you can venture to do it yourself, or better ask a friend who has done a similar repair before.

Thanks for using FixYa. The issue is with the failed convergence (STK) ICs which needs to be replaced. It’s not a difficult job if you want to do this yourself, you should require some basic knowledge about soldering-resoldering components. There are repair kits available which includes repair instructions with the parts, if you want to do it yourself, you can buy and repair it yourself. To start with you’ll have to open the back of the unit and then replace the ICs(STK ICs) which are located behind the black/gray heat sink and also check theresistors as if they are short the ICs might blow again after sometime. Please check this picture:
