42" HDTV line down the center

Purchase a LG 42" HDTV connected it to Direct TV service, while on the regular service no problem, but went to upgrade to HD format TV developed a red line down the middle. Contacted customer service asks me to be at home when calling to trouble shoot problem told him the problem! People when talking to Customer service tell them everything what you see in back of TV any contact from Audio or video cables must be connect or tape off so it wont touch any metal back of the units. The results no more lines on TV. Enjoying the playoffs.

Our LG HDTV went off by itself this morning and now when you turn it on with the remote it just has a blank screen. It is hooked up to Direct tv as well. Can you help me with what might be wrong? Thanks
I think you need a new picture tube. Mine did the same thing and a new tube fixed it. They run almost 200.00

LG 42 cm HDTV TV Twin built in tuners turns its self off and then back on occaisionally, also perfect picture on 9 HD but no sound, SBS comes on perfect and then after about 30 sec. goes blank with no signal. Have fitted new antenna and cable Cheers Rob

my awa LCD tv suddenly went blank but had sound then went completely off and has no Power at all is it worth having serviced or would it cost too much.cheers
Get it service.U have two problems.The LCD inverter board and the power supply board are dead.The shop should cost u half of a new tv.
