If you would like to remove AntiVirus 7, click Start -> Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs. Scroll to the program you would like to remove and click remove.

You can get a recovery disk from Dell. Go to the Dell WEB site to order one.

If you cannot get it repaired, note that it has a 120GB disk-drive -- very small when compared to the latest model (500GB), and note that the disk-drive probably is approaching 10 years old -- doomed to "fail" soon. Replace it, and add an external-SATA "Expander" to add another 1000GB of storage of recordings.

You can buy a universal cord they will work with your dell.
Take the one you bought back for a refund tell them you want a universal that will work with a dell also take your dell model or the old cord with you.

You've lost your desktop display.
The first thing I would do is to start the computer in safe mode. Once there, do a system restore back to the time that it worked.
I would also, just to be safe, do your disk management tasks like checking your hard drive for errors and running defrag.

stick it in a big bag of rice for a day or so. The rice shoud suck all the moisture out hope it works for you as it did for me good luck

on the front of your cd rom is a small hole where you can insert a pin or a paperclip to trip the tray to open it. try this hope it helps

I did a bit of research on the internet (Google mostly), and noticed several articles regarding the Inspiron and their batteries. You could be having a faulty battery or a problem with the computer Without more information or specific errors I would like you to try running diagnostics from Dell website. You may also try connecting the battery to another Inspiron 6000 laptop and see if the problem follows the battery. Hi, It is unfortunate that the laptop screen is cracked. Please send me the system service tag along with customer details like customer name, place of purchase, shipping address, email address and phone number to [email protected]. Then I can check and see what can be done.

I would usually search the manufacture website for the mother board specs and FAQ's. Usually incorrectly setting the cmos/bios and rebooting fails several times, it will reset to the manufactures default settings. I have needed to use another monitor if the PC has more then 1 VGA or higher def port to see what the messages are reporting. There are other control and function key combos, varies by manufactures.

Hello, The hard drive operating software or the hard drive is bad. You will have to try using the recovery cd to reload the software.

Start up in safe mode, go to configurationscreen, go to the account and deleted your password. Now you can start up again.

Go to youtube, you may be able to find a demonstration video there.

Download and burn image to CD from http://www.dban.org/download and boot the computer from the CD.
