I have a Saeco Incanto Classic and the ventilate

Having read the other reviews here, I was prepared for the cryptic "VENTILATE" message. (The manual refers to this procedure as "Loading the circuit", which doesn't help to clarify things.) Of course this refers to what Americans would call "priming" the machine. As mentioned in another review, there is a plastic hand pump supplied for priming, but that is only needed in the event that the electric pump fails to self-prime. All I had to do (following the quick-start instructions) was to select the Hot Water function; the internal pump quickly primed itself. i hope this helps Lee Davidian

Sounds like the the shower screen under the red o-ring in the brew group needs to be cleaned, you can remove the screen and clean or you can purchase some espresso machine soap puro caff or puly caff, and run it through the brew group using the preground method the clean out coffee oils.

If you are holding the brew unit in your hand with the words "Press" facing you, turn the unit right about 90°, and down 90°. Look above the dregs slide, you will see the filter screen under the red gasket.

Seams that my saeco incanto

Hi
Dosage lever or knob (small knob in the bean hopper) is to the max positive and the brew unit can not compress the coffee, so the machine dumps it into the dredge drawer to prevent breaking the machine. Reduce the amount by 1 click back from the full positive, and that should take care of the problem. Another thing that can cause this is the grind is too coarse or the grinder has come apart. The grinds should look like coarse sugar.
PS. It will usually work if the brew unit is clean, but when it is used once it will go back to dumping dry grounds.

The beans grind and compact,

Try adjusting the grind control (inside the bean bin on top of the unit) to a more coarse grind. This solved the same problem for my Starbucks-branded Saeco unit, that looks very similar to yours. As for the coffee temperature, yep, I have the same problem. It just can't be set to serve coffee quite as hot as I would like, and its seems to be designed that way on purpose.

The green lights shows that the machine is still in heating mode. The red water light flashing mean that the machine need to prime.
http://www.partsguru.com/user/Priming%20pump.pdf

So first turn water knob and take a lot of water out. then leave it and wait for the heating proceess.
If after 15 minutes you still have the green light flashing then it means two things.
First the boiler safety thermostat need to be reset, need to desasemeble and press the button on the center of the thermostat for reset.
If not then the boiler heating element need to be replaced.

I had my saeco incanto

Hello,

When machines like this are kept in storage for a long time and have not been used for a long time some components in it gets old and rusty.

Best advice before it is being used again is to get it troubleshooted before using it again. To troubleshoot it, you will be needing assistance from an electrical expert as the components need to be taken apart and checked for any rusty component that needs replacement and the parts that also need to be cleaned.

The machine will come on since the power board still is intact but the components in it might be failing to work fine once again, so troubleshooting is the best advice for the device and it will work perfectly fine once again.

Try to reset it first, from the manual, you will see the actual steps to reset it.

Hope this was helpful to you.

How do I decalcify my

Hello,
You will be needing a :

Decalcifying cleaner and A container large enough to hold the same quantity of liquid as your water reservoir

1) Remove the machine's water reservoir.
2) Empty all liquid from the reservoir.
3) Fill the reservoir with warm water.
4) Add one packet of the recommended cleaner to the full reservoir and stir until the cleaner is dissolved.
5) Return the water reservoir to the machine.
6) Turn the machine on.
7) Set the large container underneath the steam wand.
8) Set up your machine so that hot water -NOT steam-will be emitted from the steam wand when the steam valve is opened.
9) Open the steam valve according to the manufacturer's instructions.
10) After all of the decalcifying solution has drained into the large container (within a few minutes this will occur), remove it and discard the liquid that has been collected.
11) Rinse the water reservoir thoroughly and then fill it with the type of water you usually use for brewing.
12) Return the water reservoir to its normal position.
13) Using only water repeat steps 7 through 9 until the water reservoir is empty again.

I hope the above helps.
Regards.

Does not sound like the seal. A bad seal would leak outside the machine.

The cause usually is the magnet in the water tank. Make sure that the magnet is floating when the tank has water in it. Click here to see what it looks like.

Hope this helps.

Coffee beans will not advance

Cleaning out the grinder would be the first thing to try. The directions are for a similar machine. Download here

You can also have grinder burrs which have worn down. You will see them when you check out the grinder. Be sure to inspect them while cleaning.
