Dell 1525 not charging
Borrow someones 'Dell' brand A/C adapter charger. If that works then yours is bad. If it doesn't then it could be the battery, but more likely the main board.
My number does not type. For a while, I had to
take it to a repair shop to get it check and fixed. one problem is that if you put to much pressure on the key and then it gets stuck. you can remove the key and check to make sure that everything is holding it up fine and also make sure there is nothing under it all tiny particles since that can mess around with your keys. to do what I said above it must not be a built in keyboard since it will be messed up forever so for built in ones take it to a repair store and for regular ones do the part I recommended above about taking the key from the keyboard.
Typing errors
SO! Press "start" button" at bottom left. Click CONTROL PANEL and choose MOUSE from the list... RESTORE DEFAULT should fix your problems
Accents on some keys
You should check your keyboard layout (path to it is OS specific). Or it could be that your AltGr (Right side Alt key) is stuck. In this case - cleaning your keyboard should help.

Hi!!Usually DELL passwords are stored in eeprom memoriesthat has to be read or writen to remove / bypass the BIOS password!!! Passwordgenerate a hash code that will appear after 3 wrong password attempts and ithas a 5 digit decimal format "xxxxx" Another way to obtain password is by generate a unlock code or master password from the service tag that comes with the laptop in the bottom in the sticker (service tag "xxxxxxx")

I cant get the backslash on my dell laptop to
try blowing out all of the dust from your keyboard using a fine air blower from an air compressor making VERY sure there is no MOISTURE in the lines.
dust causes static which causes lots of problems with a computer and its parts
you might have to uninstall your keyboard restart your computer then reinstall it
click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to keyboards you might see a yellow exclamation or question mark or red x you will need to update driver right click to update driver
if your computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it
or restart you computer tap the f8 key repeatedly to enter safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you an attempt to repair your computerhope this helps

This problem can be very frustrating! It is typically from you hand moving over the touch pad to type on the keys. It would be lovely if they weren't designed so. To reduce the problem change the sensitivity of the touch pad to a lower level so it is not as sensitive.
Backspace and enter not working
If you recently installed this and the keys have never worked remove the keyboard and ensure that the ribbon cable is fully seated and that the lock is all the way engaged.

BIOS PASS WORD LOST
To remove the bios password you need to clear the CMOS.
Open your
laptop casing look at your motherboard. locate the CMOS jamper it is
near
the
battery. To clear remove the jamper and turn your computer on with in 5
to 10 seconds and turn it off. Reinsert the jamper back to there proper
place and try to turn go to BIOS if there will be a password box appear.
You
need to open your laptop and look at the motherboard and locate the
CMOS battery. Just remove it with in 5 minutes to clear BIOS password.
No bootable devices
