Dell 1525 not charging

Borrow someones 'Dell' brand A/C adapter charger. If that works then yours is bad. If it doesn't then it could be the battery, but more likely the main board.

My number does not type. For a while, I had to

take it to a repair shop to get it check and fixed. one problem is that if you put to much pressure on the key and then it gets stuck. you can remove the key and check to make sure that everything is holding it up fine and also make sure there is nothing under it all tiny particles since that can mess around with your keys. to do what I said above it must not be a built in keyboard since it will be messed up forever so for built in ones take it to a repair store and for regular ones do the part I recommended above about taking the key from the keyboard.

You should check your keyboard layout (path to it is OS specific). Or it could be that your AltGr (Right side Alt key) is stuck. In this case - cleaning your keyboard should help.

This problem can be very frustrating! It is typically from you hand moving over the touch pad to type on the keys. It would be lovely if they weren't designed so. To reduce the problem change the sensitivity of the touch pad to a lower level so it is not as sensitive.

Backspace and enter not working

If you recently installed this and the keys have never worked remove the keyboard and ensure that the ribbon cable is fully seated and that the lock is all the way engaged.

If it had worked and suddenly no longer works, you may have to replace the keyboard. You can purchase the keyboard from Amazon or many other online retailers. Instructions for replacing the keyboard can be found here.

Hope this was helpful

Alt+0241

On Windows, the Alt key functions as a modifier like the Shift key. To make special characters, hold down the Alt key and type in the numbers from the numeric keypad. Note that on the some small keyboards (e.g. laptop keybaords) the “numeric keypad” is found by pressing the NumLock key and then looking for the keys on your keyboard that double as numeric keypad keys when in NumLock mode.
