Autotek SS500.1 Car Amp Questions & Answers
Amp and speaker wiring
if the 12's are single 4 ohm coils then i would run them parrelle to the amp bridge to one channel. this will be 2 ohms bridge and will be the best and most power.

Aplifier gettieng protection signal and excess heat
for that amplifier, it is recommended that you are driving a 4 ohm load. It can drive a 2 ohm load, but will produce more heat and shorten the life of the amplifier. Is the subwoofer a single or dual voice coil? You'll want to make sure that you're not running below a 2 ohm load or you'll always go into protection. Also, try disconnecting the speaker wire completely from the amp so nothing but power is connected. If the amplifier is still in protection mode when no speakers are hooked up, then the amp is bad and will need repair or replacement.
Amp light is green getting a base like heart beat nothing else fuses are good
The only thing I'm wondering is if you shorted out the RCAs somehow. Try switching the RCA's to another output on the back of the deck, if you have more than one set.
If that's not it...you will have to add pieces of the system one by one, starting at the deck, to see if you can troubleshoot the problem. Very Odd.
Good Luck
