check seat safty switch see if bad not that go to brake safty switch has to be one of these

check for shorted wire between clucth and switch

If it's a hydrostatic transmission, I would have the transmission looked at. You may need to "purge" the system and check the fluid level. The ones I've done called for the drive disconnects (the rod or lever which allows you to roll the tractor when the engine is shut down) to be in the flow bypass position. They also wanted the wheels off the floor, then the engine to be started, & the direction control to be worked SLOWLY to the front & rear positions 10-12 times. Then put the bypass valve back in its 'drive' position, fire the engine again & repeat the slow cycle of the direction control. The unit SHOULD be quieter now & perform better, but double check the oil level because expelling the air may have dropped it too low.

That sounds like the drive belt is either stretched (requiring retensioning) or nearly worn out (requiring replacement). Retensioning may not be very difficult - it may require only a simple linkage adjustment.

I had the same problem with my 2011 i1042. Turned out to be drive belt not snug enough. Installed new drive belt all OK now - plenty of power & speed, no slipping. good luck. (BTW: it was a REAL PAIN to remove and replace the belt!)

Recoil starter is locked?Remove spark plug to be sure engine hasn't hydrolocked with fuel and/or check crankcase oil level. If excessively high oil level then likely crankcase and cylinder is full of fuel from a stuck carburetor fuel inlet needle valve.If cylinder is clear of fuel/oil then remove recoil starter and see if recoil is functional and engine will rotate by hand.

i dont know nothing about the cub cadet but if its doing that i would change the camshaft positioning sensor
