My cub cadet wont restart after it gets hot

Check the carburetor anti afterfire solenoid is functional. Avoid fuel with more than 10% alcohol.

Most likely the ignition pickup is defective.

if it works good cold, but not when it's hot. the trans is getting bad.

overheating safetybsprings are wore out. they either got over heated or reached their limits

you have bad valves it needs a valve job this is because the hatter it get it looses power and will shut down when to hot

I had a similar problem with my cub Cadet. It turned out that the Ignition Module on the engine was cracked. Motor started OK - but died as soon as a load (such as engaging the mower) was put on it.

These are not terribly hard to check, and/or change, yourself. Easy to get to once the motor shroud is removed.

My 25 HP Kohler engine has 2 modules. EXPENSIVE from the dealer - found MUCH better prices online.

ck. the gas cap vent, it should be free to prevent vacuum in tank.

your PTO is built just like a wound up coil and becomes magnatized it gets real hot and it shorts out when it heats up make sure you have no frayed wires which will creat a large risistance and really heat up

Check your magneto. I have had them cease to function whenever they would get hot. When cooled down, they would work.

its the electric clutch on the engine that engages the belt to run blades check the centrifical clutch or electric clutch
