Fan is very loud, squelly when starting Fan is very very loud. This is caused by an unbalanced fan blade in the squirrel cage or the bearings going out on the fan.
motor bracket ah broken and the squirrel cage (fan assembly) is hitting the fan housing, if it is more of a squeal than it very well could be a bearing. Very hard to guess without seeing or hearing it

...It still cools, but noise is loud and unbearable. It's sounds like a critter may have started to make a nest in the blower motor fan. I recommend trying to clean out the fan motor squirrel
