Samsung LTN468W 46 in. LCD Television "stripey" Questions

my 26" screen goes all stripey colours my 26" LCD Wharfedale, the screen goes stripy colours, I can knock it and they go away. Time for a repair man methinks.....sounds like a bad conect on the video ...
