they will pull the codes, reset the code, and then print you the trouble code with the corresponding problems that are related to that code.
And then they can give you on that same computer print out report, the parts needed to fix it and their pricing.
You can and should periodically change or have changed the transmission, primary and engine oils and engine oil filter. because over time and use all of these oils break down and become contaminated etc.
I would suggest you do as it suggests. Check the engine! Give the machine a good service including oil and filter change, air filter and get the ignition system checked.
I use a standard 7/8 deep socket 1/2 drive and grind a slot for the wire. If you dont erase the code it will erase by himself ,if the trouble was fix after a certain number of ignition cycle without the trouble but he will stay in historic code
