I installed a jvc kdr310 with a pioneer amp and single 12 in sub all worked well and as soon as i drove off less then a quarter of a mile down the road my head unit stopped functioning and said protect i checked all my connections to my amp. I have a power and a good ground my remote wire is hooked up and i had the ignition wire run by a professional shop so i'm confident that it is not the problem. i do not know where else to look for the problem any advice would be appreciated

The fact that the head unit cut out and went into protect implies that it probably has nothing to do with your pioneer amplifier. If i understood well the amplifier is running the sub woofer. If the speakers are running off the head unit check that there is no speaker cable touching metal causing a short. Sometimes while installing the speaker we don't realize that the speaker terminal can touch on the frame of the surface that it is secured to. If this surface is metal then you get a short, which then makes the head unit go into protect. There is also the possibility that a cable from behind the head unit has come lose or is bare in some place touching metal again. You see it is all usually about being shorted. Without knowing exactly how everything is installed, this is the best i can do. I hope this helps. dreamsystems

I have 2 12" Pioneer TS-W3003D4 subs and I wanted to know can a Pioneer GM-D8500M run them?

pretty much any amplifier can run any sub, so the question is not weather or not the amp can run them, it is how well the amp can run them. Those Pioneer subs are dual VC models and are rated at 600 watts RMS. You have two, so that would be about 1200 watts of RMS power you will need in order to power the subs correctly and to optimum efficiency. The amplifier model you have is rated at 600 watts RMS for a single channel at the lowest stable impendence. That power coming from the amp will be split two ways between the subs and divide the power to each speaker. So each speaker will be receiving 300 watts of power. So in short yes, your amp will power those subs, but they will only be operating at half their rated power. Your amp will be running at maximum power so it might get a little warm after a while. make sure you wire it correctly and keep the amp well ventilated if you decide to push it that hard. if you need help on how to wire them search the web for wiring options by typing into Google " how to wire two dual voice coil subs into amp". There you will find plenty of illustrations to help you decide.

What amp for a Pioneer TS-W304C 12 inch sub

You seem to be looking for an amp made for car audio. There are many brands, but I going to give you the specs for your particular speaker which will help in choosing, not a specific name brand amp, but at least one with the proper power outputs/requirements.

Your speaker, based on the model number you provided, is rated at 4 ohms .Power handling range is 50-300 watts. And a peak of 600watts. That does not mean start cranking 600watts thru the speaker, it will blow. I suggest you acquire a single (mono) channel amp that provides 350-400 watts at 4 ohms.

Hope these specs help you in choosing an amp.

I have a pioneer gm-d8400m the amp isnt working

flashing light could mean a few different things. 1- constant power may not be there. check with a test light or multimeter. should read around 12 volts. it would be a good idea to check all the power and ground leads. make sure u have a good ground. 2- bad sub. im assuming sub since its a monoblock amp. you can meter the subs. make sure the total ohm load is no less than 2 ohms. any lower the amp will go into protect mode. 3- bad amp. power supply may be bad. the newer pioneer amps are full of protection circuits. ive been a professional installer for a shop about 8 years and we sell pioneer. hope it helps.

How can i connect 2 12''s pioneer premier too an jl audio amp n make the bass loud???

Hello m1k377060,

Having your subs in well-designed and constructed enclosures will make as much or more difference in their output than how you connect them to an amp.

The TS-SW1241D's are single voice coil 4 ohm shallow subwoofers that are rated for 350 watts RMS. For maximum loudness, your JL amp needs to be 2 ohm stable and capable of delivering 700 watts RMS into that impedance. Wire the subs in parallel for a 2 ohm load and maximum power from the amp.

Hope this helps.

2006 12" Kicker L7 4 ohm

first whats the range in terms of WATTS that your 12" sub can handle in 4 OHMS ? second , lets check the AMP , POWER ACOUSTIK 1800 WATTS , Now thats a lot of power to drive a single 12" sub speaker . your amp is 1800 watts , per channel is around 500 watts , if BRIDGE thats around 1600 watts rms for ONE channel , if your sub can handle that kind of wattage fine , but it will not blow the amp , what it does is shuts down , some kind of protection mode , it will come back on after a minute or so. I suggest to use one channel in stereo mode , or purchase another sub to use the other channel. i hope this helps AJ

How should I wire my 3 subs to the 500/1 amp???????

First of all how many ohm's are each subwoofer rated at . Are the subwoofers dual voice coil or single voice coil. Once I know that I can help you. I think the JL amp is not recommended below a 2ohm load.

Amp is on, Subwoofer works, but no sound.

here is a short test you can try, remove the rca audio cable from the amp & connect a diskman or toher audio o/p device that you can hook up with the same rca wires, turn on the amp & see if you have sound. you can also remove the speaker wires from the sub & using multi meter read the ohm's of the sub, most subs are 4 ohm. Hope this help locate your problem
