2005 TVS Victor GLX Logo
Posted on Jan 19, 2011

I have TVS victor GLX 2004 model. There is a fork oil leakage & the mechanic says there is a problem with inner tubes which contains fork oil(both sides). Price for one inner tube is Rs. 1200 /- Also there are other problems like wheel bearing & chain damaged, full wiring needs to be done, engine noise & other small issues. The total quotation given by the mechanic is more than R. 6500/- I just want to know, Is it worth spending this much amount on this bike (2004 model) or shall I go for new one?

See...this is not the right solution ectually! he (mechanic) must had to tell you the truth. that there is no need to change wheel bearing & chain damaged along with complete change the things. if you had no idea at that moment than you must resell this bike and should go for new one. but.... what will you do? if the same situation happen again in future with your new one.

you must changed the fork oil just. these cost you just around 650/- per pair. mechanic was the over smart and he knew that you do not know anything about the bike and it's service with spare part.

i have too this one TVS VICTOR GLX 125 CC 2004 nov. model. and i m very much satisfied with it. if you compare with these days bike's ... than you realize...it give more mileage than other and less maintainable.

so.. if you have that bike now a days... so keep it with you. and find better mechanic. bike is not problem.

Tvs victor gl 2003 valve clearance value?

The Victor GL was the first bike from the "Victor" series. The bike was loaded with 109cc 4-stroke engine, which was later known for its fuel efficiency and robustness. However the style quotient of the bike was a little low but TVS had compensated the same by launching the stylish "Victor GLX" later on with 125cc.

I have changed the forkseal on my zxr750 j model 3 times and it is still leaking.I am thinking I will need new forks but am having trouble finding them. Can I use zxr750 l model forks on my j model bike?

Hello first things first are your fork tubes inner scratched or dented?
If not take it to a motorcycle mechanic and have them inspected let the mechanic install a new set if finds there are no damage to the inner fork tubes or dee scratches to the outer fork tubes inner sealing area some times people use a screw driver to pry out the old seal and do not pay attention that they gouged a grove on the inner part sealing area.

I need to know the oil capacity of the front forks on my 1999 Suzuki Marauder VZ800.

FORK OIL
• Place the front fork vertically without spring.
• Compress it fully.
• Pour specified front fork oil up to the top level of the outer
tube.
Capacity (each leg): 490 ml (16.6/17.3 US/lmp oz)
99000-99044-L01: SUZUKI FORK OIL L01
or an equivalent fork oil
• Move the inner rod slowly with the special tool ten times and
more until no more bubbles come out from the oil.
09940-52841: Inner rod holder
NOTE:
Refill front fork oil up to the top of the outer tube so that bubbles
are visible while bleeding air.
• Refill specified front fork oil up to the top level of the outer
tube again. Move the outer tube up and down several strokes
until no more bubbles come out from the oil.
• Keep the front fork vertically and wait 5 – 6 minutes.
NOTE:
* Always keep oil level over the cartridge top end, or air may
enter the cartridge during this procedure.
* Take extreme care so as to pump out air completely.
• Hold the front fork vertically and adjust fork oil level with the
special tool.
NOTE:
When adjusting the fork oil level, compress the outer tube fully
without the fork spring.
Fork oil level: 153 mm (6.02 in)
09943-74111: Front fork oil level gauge
