Is the third/hi mount brakelight working? Try wiggling the turnsignal switch while applying the brakes and have someone check to see if the brakelights come on. If so The turnsignal/multifunction switch is bad.

The NSTHA issued a recall on later models of these but the older ones also had the same problem. Check your bulbs first to make sure a filament did not burn out. Then try the turn signal switch wiggling. If they still do not work the brake light switch may be a problem.

I have a Frontier XE 2001. Niether turn signal works have good bulbs and fuses are OK. Where else should I look.

did both signal lights stop working at the same time or not,it may just be the signal flasher has gone bad,it is located under the dash by the fuse panel.if the hazard flashers work then i would say the signal flasher is bad.with the hazards on you can locate it and that is what the signal flasher looks like and it is a separate flasher,

Suddenly, the signals do not work whatsoever. Yet the hazards do. It''s not the fuse. 1995 GMC Jimmy.

Replace the flasher, this truck uses two flasher one for the hazards and one for the signals, check and replace the flasher and go from there, good luck.

Turn signals stoped working(left&right)but flashers still work

Sounds like the flasher unit has gone bad. It is mounted behind the glove compartment. I would also check the fuses in the fusebox under the hood.

1997 Jimmy turn signals(both) not working but flashers do work

First you need to replace the turn signal flasher its mounted in behind the kick panel cover on the drivers side.the cover is difficult to remove, once you have it out of the way they will be two flashers. One is the for the hazards and the other is for your turn signals, make sure you check the flasher before you reinstall the cover.

Turn signals won't come on inside or outside of car but hazard lights come on inside and outside of car

Check turn signal fuse, if fuse is good, check turn signal flasher, this is identical to hazard flasher, I believe on the 1997 it is located under the dash near the center console. The turn signal and hazard flashers are the same part number so try switching places with them and see if the turn signals work. If turn signals work after switching them you need a flasher.

Turn signal

The wire under the hazard button has probably come loose. Most GMC vehicles this year range were made with a closed circuit wiring between the flashers, hazard lights, and rear defrost. Over time the wiring under the hazard button has been known to loosen. This causes the whole system to lose function. If pop out the hazard button on you center console you should be able to tighten that wire back on and the system should work again.
The same thing happened to me when I put in a new radio. I bumped the wires off and my blinkers, rear defrost, and hazard lights went out. I replaced the fuses and the flasher relay but nothing. Then I asked a mechanic and he told me what I just told you.
Hope it helps!
