vitara are sold all over planet earth. where are you????
nor are they the SAME,
and vast engine options, there is a J20 gas engine.
the diesel is unlike any gas cars. all parts. related.
2.0 L RF I4 (diesel)

he RF is a SOHC, two valves-per-cylinder engine. (older FE)

my guess is that sparse "D" means diesel.

learn that all diesels have there own matching parts
and that means pumps ,relays EFI, etc. all parts fuel. for sure.

As of 2003, the smaller Suzuki Vitara has been withdrawn from the North American market.!!!!!!

many suzuki use a large pink wire for the pump power
this can be a big clue, looking at the relays.

which engine? that be 1st,
to fix engines, you need to know that and 10x for parts buys.

on my GAS, VIT 2.5L

its just a map/baro sensor used to test EGR.
if the tube is clean, it rarely fails.
it monitors the pressure drop, when the main EGR opens.
of P04xx DTC errrors (got those>)

To test fuel flow, have a 2nd person stand over air filter (air filter housing open) with a can of starting fluid in one hand. Don't give any throttle, then 2nd person gives 1-second squirt into air filter while you're turning starter motor (no throttle). When engine catches, immediately give one third to one half throttle. Just before it dies, 2nd person should give another short squirt of starting fluid to keep engine from dying. If throttle won't keep engine running and only starting fluid keeps it running, then yes, no fuel is going through fuel lines. Either its a fuel pump issue or maybe there's restriction because of clogged dirty fuel filter. If it starts but runs rough and has black exhaust smoke, then its clogged or dirty fuel injectors.

follow the fuel line back from the injector pump and their is the diesel filter ,under the bonnet

go to the public library and xerox the needed pages from chilton or hanes manual

my 1993 very recently aguired.Grand vitara deisel. has imoberlised it's self. have had guys up with computer diognostics and found it in safe mode.found fault on turbo charger fixed it..all go, went for a short run ..great turned it off and on twice all fine.....next morning it had imoberlised itself again guys came with computer no fault found.. but it still will not start....help please........
