I have a 2.0 gas engine i want to change it to a
It's a huge project and probably not possible due to the differences in electronics, wiring, fuel systems, mounts, exhaust, sensors, and computer controls between the gas and diesel engines...plus it won't pass any emission testing due to the changes made to it that depart from how it was originally built.
Won't start lights on the dash flashing on and off no management light on
Sounds like the battery or the alternator
Usually has to do with the voltage regulator in the alternator.
That tells it where to put the power and how much output to put.
If the voltage starts to fail it will put the power to the most important parts which is the engine and it will make your lights flicker.
Could you let me know where the timing marks are
check around the inside (towards the block) edge or crank shaft pulley by the lower passenger side of the engine. Otherwise it will be by that pulley on the bloc, those are the only laces I've known them to be. Hope it helps
Where is the esp fuse located on grand vitara 2007
I have the same problem but when my esp light is on it causes my engine to rev up when it's in idle and if I put it in gear and try to drive it. It will take off on its own but when I push on the gas it slows it down and if I put it in 1st it'll jerk you back and forth. This has only been happening since the keys for locked in the car and we had to break into it but there is no anti theft light on.
Where is the dpfe sensor located?
Easiest way to find them is start at the exhaust manifold, then find the EGR tube ( only tube screw into the manifold). On that tube will be 2 small tubes, With hoses on them. Those hoses go to the DPFE sensor.
Stalls when put in gear after warming up.
sometimes the computer gets wiped clean and it has memory on how to idle, memorizes how the transmission shifts when you drive.. when all that is lost it can take a few days to relearn.. I found that I had luck spraying fuel injection cleaner into the throttle body and revving engine enough so it didn't shut off... and then I would drive fairly hard up hills etc.. and usually problem would correct itself

The illumination switch won't shut off
First check the dimmer switch and make sure it is not turned all to way to the right or left ? The dimmer switch controls how bright your meter lights are, but if you turn it to the far left or right it will activate the interior lights and will stay on regardless. Other than that it could be a bad door switch, some back lights also have a 3 way switch, one way makes the light stay on all the time, the other position has the lights off no matter if the door or dimmer switch is on. The middle position work only when a door or back latch is open, then goes off when closed, hope this helps ?
