The 1997 Sporty did not use a turn signal flasher unit. It uses a turn signal control module instead. This module controls all turn signals and four way flasher. It also performs the "cancelling" function once the time limit has run out on the flashing process. It's a "black box" about 1 1/2 inch wide by 3 inches long by about a 1/2 inch thick. It gets it's power from the Lights fuse 10 amps. If you contact me directly, I can scan you a wiring diagram and e-mail it to you. [email protected]

The owners manul has a layout of the fuses, Ford is bad about not labeling their fuse boxes. check all the fuses, get a test light and learn to use it. with a test light, you can check every fuse in minutes without taking them out., and also that they are getting power in the first place. See if you can find the "turn signal flasher" since the 4 way flashers work, you know all the wiring and bulbs are good, thats a good thing you checked. the flasher may be at the fuse box, or put the 4 ways on and fing the clicking flasher, it should look just like the 4 way flasher. you can even swap them and see if the turn signals start working.

When you say you replaced "flasher" I'm guessing you mean the combination turn signal flasher unit. If the hazards "flash" on the 4 way but the turn signal does not you are looking at a turn signal switch type problem. ... If 4way flashers do NOT work you need to check wiring immediately around the flasher unit mounting area.Or change Flasher unit Good Luck.

Where is the turnsignal flasher located 1991 nissan sentra 4dr

In your fuse box should be a large 1-2" square box inside the fuse box. Or under the dash board .

Turn Sigal wont work and headlights dim

You will need to use a test light to verify voltage at the turn signal flasher.
Turn the key on to the run position, car does not need to be started.
Set the turn signal switch to right or left turn, doesn't matter.
Probe the "purple" wire terminal at the flasher unit. If the turn signal switch is working properly, you will have voltage at the flasher unit.
If you do not have voltage, the switch may be the problem, make certain all connectors to the steering column are fully seated and there are no broken wires.
Good luck and let me know.

The turnsignals and turn signal idicator on my 96 bonneville stoped working today not sure what the problem is

Start with the fuse in your fuse box. Remove the fuse and make certain it is not burned out. Next, check the flasher unit. If you have a test light, you can check both wires at the flasher unit and they should both have 12 volts on the wires.
When you turn the turn-signal switch on, right or left, you should here the flasher unit clicking.
Start there and let me know what you find.
