I had a Cobra tachometer working well on my2008 Kawasaki 900 C motorcycle. Cobra says this tach will not work on my new 2010 Suzuki M50 and they don't make one to fit. I can attach the tach to the handle...

Probably the running light rather than directionals.(power) Are they the same number of cylinders? You could test it and do just fine, its possible to short something, but not too likely if you are carefull.use the accessory fuse to power the tach and pick a coil and give it a whirl.

It sounds like either the gears or the speedometer cable itself is worn out. I would try replacing the speedometer cable.
