Blue smoke comin out of exhaust when givin it gas

sounds like blown head gasket.
does it have a fuel pump, if so is there oil around it (by the brass colored screen)
if so then you have blown head gasket

Blue smoke coming out of the exhaust indicates that oil is getting into the piston cylinder and being burned along with the gas. This could be a leaking head gasket, worn piston rings, or the wrong weight engine oil (viscosity too low). A leak down test will be needed to diagnose.
Have you checked your engine oil level?

The most common cause of blue exhaust smoke is oil leaking past engine seals and into the cylinders where it then mixes and burns with the fuel. Oil leaking into the cylinders can cause a rough idle, misfire and fouled spark plugs. So best bet is to have a local repair shop inspect for internal oil leakage.

I am corncerned about the smoke being white.
White smoke usually is from moisture in your exhaust system.
The moisture comes from water getting your engine cylinders by one of several ways.

1 Blown Head Gasket
2 Cracked Head
3 Cracked Cylinder

A rich gas condition causes black smoke
Oil burning causes blue smoke

Check your coolant level to make sure your not losing it into the engine vis a crack or bad gasket.

White smoke is water. Blue smoke is oil. Black smoke is excessive fuel.

Blue exhaust smoke means one thing: crankcase oil getting into the combustion process. The most likely cause is worn piston rings. Other possible causes are worn valve guides or a blockage of the crankcase vent. Tip: blue exhaust smoke under acceleration = piston rings. Under deceleration = valve guides.
Also make sure someone did not put a gas/oil mixture in the fuel tank by mistake (thinking it had a two cycle engine).

Your engine is running "too rich" meaning more gas is going into the chamber than is supposed to. If it is a late model, to need to see your mechanic. FYI , blue smoke is oil, black too much gas, white, antifreeze, (really bad).

blue smoke out of 1.8 turbo its allways bad oil seal inside turbo.need new turbo or rebuild OEM. with 24 years experience working with vw never seen single headhasket go bad on 1.8 turbo engines.blue smoke its 100% turbo every time
