Location of fuel cut off switch on 2006 chevy malibu

There is no fuel cut off switch on a 2006 Chevy Malibu. You either have a bad fuel pump, a bad fuel pump relay, or no signal tuning on the pump relay if you have a no run condition of the pump.

My 2005 Chevy Classic Malibu will not start. Conditions are: overfilled at gas station to where gas spewed out. No problems prior to this. Car would not start. Have pressure in the fuel line, can hear...

Sounds like the fuel pump went bad, or a relay for the fuel pump. My guess it's a fuel pump more likely to have gone bad.

Maybe a coincidence that when you overfilled the gas at the gas station that it put the pump 'over the edge' as far as functioning.

I do not see a connection between overfilling and the fuel pump going bad at that instance, but anything is possible.

Fuel gauge on 1997 chevy malibu gives wrong reading.Found this out soon after buying the car. Ran out of gas....

most of the time when that happens you have a bad fuel level sensor that is in the gas tank...ask your local auto parts store to see how much a pump is and maybe the dealer can supply just the fuel level sensor.

My 2003 Chevy Malibu suddenly lost power climbing a hill. The engine light started flashing. I was able to drive it home at 30 mph.

Could either be the ignition system - ie, coil packs, fuel filter, fuel pump, or bad gas. Was it sputtering?

2005 chevy malibu won't start

You will need to Check the Fuel Pump and Relays, and also Change the Fuel Filter. There is a Fuse Relay Box under the Hood that has the Fuel Pump Relay in it.

2004 chevy malibu won't start up

I have an 04 Malibu and when I get hard starts when I'm in the car I just press the accelerator down about half way and it always starts right up, some times I have to hold the accelerator down a little after starting to stop it from stalling but it is rare.
