1995 chevy corsica knocking when starting and acceleration

I have a 1995 chevy corsica and when i start it i hear a loud clicking and the same when i push the gas pedal...any idea how to fix this problem???

IS it clicking or is it a tapping as a ticking/clicking/or a tapping are all differant problems (is it coming from the bottom of engine /top of engine/Front/or back).
If its sounds at the top it could be a valve tappet,/ if from front /Alternator bearings Water pump bearings etc,,But if from the bottom of engine then the noise could be Big End Bearings ,, so i must know a lot more information than what you gave me.

Check oil level first.then have a mechanic check the valve train for wear .may need lifters and or rocker arms,push rod tips worn?etc..give me a shout back.wish you the best.

there is either a direct load or stuck solenoid or something..using a 10 amp battery charger instead of trying to connect the battery to the car will tell where the issue is by the loud hum or buzzing noise you will hear..follow this to its source...good luck be carefull..

The timming is off it possibly needs a new timming chain or the spark plug wires are on wrong

1995 chevy lumina makes terible loud noise like rods knocking when started. It has oil and water in it. what could be the problem?
it could still be a rod even if its full of oil. carbon build up inside the engine can cause a knocking sound but its probably a rod. does it go away after it starts?? if it only does it while starting, it could be leaking water in a cylinder after you cut it off and the next time you're cranking it, its trying to compress the water

My 1995 chevy corsica ran fine one day and the next morning wouldnt start. It trys to turn over but wont start. Spark plugs and coil packs are fine. Fuel filter is fine. What could cause this?
Try tapping on your PCM behind your glove box,also are you getting fuel pressure and a good blue spark at the plugs when cranking the engine?
