I have hero honda cd deluxe 2006 model . It is only kick start and kick is jammed. whats the problem & how can I fix

If you are having trouble moving the kick start try removing the spark plug, rock the bike backward and forward then try pumping the kick start a few times. If it frees up put the plug back in and try starting it

I have a 1990 Honda XR 250 and when i kick it over the kick start ether jams and will not move but if i rock the bike back and foward in gear it will free but still no compresion. I havnt tried to crash...

You need to drain your oil, then remove the right side-case. When the side case is removed you will notice the kick-starter return spring will have a little tab that bends toward the center cases. that tab needs to be inserted into its proper place.>>( its apperantly has slipped out of place.) This is pretty common so don't be to alarmed over it. You will notice it right away once the case is off. If your not sure how the tab fits in place--try looking at a parts fish or go to the dealer and have the parts guy pull it up on the computer screen. I do not recommend bump starting it while that spring is no secured in its proper place.

Have a 2006 ktm 250 sxf seized rod to the crank got it changed reinstalled put motor back together now can not even kick it like somthing is stuck. Toke the clutch basket out, timing gear and water pump...

Your clutch basket is the link between the engine and transmission. Your kick starter rotates the clutch basket gear, which turns another gear at the engine crank. Remove either the basket or gear at the crank and see if the engine, and the transmission both turn. Sounds like the engine is stuck for some reason. At least you can cut the issue in half.

Have 350 dirt bike kick start was ok left bike shed for a while used kickstart ok but next time it appears jammed wont move tried rocking in gear to free up but no go. Do you have an idea as to what might...

Assuming the engine will turn over, the ratcheting assembly on the kick starter may be worn. Remove the kick start lever and then the side cover, (place a pan under the bike to catch any oil). The kick starter is basically just a gear and a spring; the gear will in some manner engage the flywheel, (sometimes indirectly). Make sure there is nothing obvious wrong such as broken teeth or debris lodged in the mechanism.

The other possibility if the engine does not move when rolled is the timing chain may have jumped teeth on the cam sprocket. To get to this remove the gas tank, remove all but the rear engine mounting bolts, remove the valve cover. To check remove the fly wheel cover set the piston to Top Dead center, (TDC) on the compression stroke and make sure the mark on the cam sprocket is at the top of the sprocket and not off set.

Good luck.

My kx100 kickstart won't work

have a look at the clutch cable there may be far to much slack on it so your not fully disengaging the clutch thats why the bike pulls forwards

Kick start is jammed

Put the bike in 3rd, 4th or 5th gear, the higher the better. Sit on the bike, with your hand off the clutch lever, and rock the bike back and forth to rotate the clutch hub. This might free up the lever. You will need to drain the oil and remove the right side casing to see and service the kick starter. If I recall correctly, there is a spring clip that allows the kick gear to engage the clutch hub. The piece could be broken, weak or out of position.
