1988 suzuki samurai, runs fine cold but when it warms up starts missing (undrivable). Something is cutting off the fuel to the 2 rear cylenders. you can look in the carb and see one jet just about shuts off while the other seems good.

there 2 issues, here.
first all dizzy get hot , 180F is the engine temp and the dizzy
will get near that temp. its unavoidable. that fact.
or worse parked and hot soaked,
the ignitor is bad.
a rebuilt dizzy from CARDONE , is about 1/2 the price of the internal bad parts. (VR sensor and ignitor)
dont know if this is the same but i had a sj with same problem when it wwas cold it run fine but when it was at temp it cut out and revvin up and down ended up havin a new carb which was costly and hard to find now ...
check the carb main jets i just had that problem rebuilt the carb and fixed it. auto zone has rebuild kit for around 30 dollars easy to rebuild if you take a lot of pictures!! spray all the jets out with carb cleaner around 4 dollars
Hi, You need to plug this into a code reader and see what codes are stored the most common reason for the engine cutting out is internal fuel pump failure will also cause poor starting
I've never seen a samurai without a PCV valve hooked up. You sure its just missing it cuase that is what releases the pressure build up in the engine. If not working/installed then you're gonna get piston blow by, oil burning, and a rough running engine.
