Unless the phone is connected to a power source ie plug socket or car charger it turns itself off. And it wont come back on if it dosent get plugged in to charge first which isnt very good for a mobile! checks on the phone all came back fine, I sent it off to be repaired and they said its as it should be???? Please help before I smash it up
Most likely your battery is broken. If you know how to use a multimeter you can measure the battery, if it has more than 3.7 V and you still have no runtime you have a broken logic board, if the battery never reaches 3.7V regardless of how long you charge, your battery is bad. If it's your logic board and you're comfortable w/ disassembling stuff or have a tech savy friend you can use a blackberry repair guide that will show you how to disassemble it step by step, or you can go to the repair service.

Thanks for that Solas, just ordered one so Ill let you know!
Thanks to Solasknows,
I followed your advice and its fine!!! Cant believe something so simple sorted it after all the cost and time wasted.
Now I have another problem: Reception is not very good unless Im next to a door or window, and moving around is not adviasble either. How does an internal antenna work and is it worthwhile dong this to the phone?
Cheers
Simone
