How do i find the hot wire on my 2012 toyota tundras ignition switch

im pretty sure these cars were already prewired for fog lights .there should be some plugs behind the bumper to fit them.if not get back i will explain how to wire them up.best of luck.

The link below is a Typical fog lamp / driving lamp hookup. Keep in mind that in most states, for these lamps to be 'legal' (and thus pass inspection), you must wire them such that:

1. You can cut them off (in other words, there must be a switch installed to turn them off)

and

2. They may only be operated with the low beams. (therefore, you must power your on/off switch from the low beam circuit)

You will need to completely wire your own setup. The "stock" fog lights on the HHRs are wired through the Body Control Module computer which can not be reprogrammed without being replaced. Cost of the computer is over $300 and certainly NOT worth it for a set of fog lights. Put in your own switch, wiring, etc. I would highly recommend that you use a relay to power them since the electrical system for the HHR is very sensitive to external additions.

Hi my Name is Marcus . I have a 99 toyota corolla and i have problems with the brake lights . I have change the bulbs . I have check my fuses , i have also change the brake pad switch . I was told that i to change the brake switch with a part for Toyota Dealership . Plz help me
