Sounds like the rectifier has gone bad, overcharging the battery and cooking wires. Your best bet here is to take it to a dealer rather than risking putting in new parts then frying them the first time you ride the bike again.

SOURCE: Ignition, electrical noise

does it have a fuel pump ?...it could be just priming itself..when the pump is already full you cant really hear the noise that much. Does the noise go away after riding for awhile and then restart it?

2001 mitsubishi eclispse gs wont start how do you bypass the security system

  • 1 Turn the ignition key counter clockwise in the driver's side door to unlock the caricon1.png. This deactivates the alarm long enough for you to gain access to the vehicle. Then, place the key in the ignition and turn the key until it clicks once. This starts the car's battery, but doesn't ignite the engine. The LED light on the dashboard should stop blinking, indicating the alarm is temporarily disabled.
  • 2 Locateicon1.png the box for the alarm under the dashboard on the driver's side of the car. Then, look for the override button on the box. Typically, the small button is either red or black. With the ignition key in the "on" position, press the override button and hold it in until the alarm chirps once. This disables the alarm until you manually reactivate it.
  • 3 To reactivate the alarm, turn the key to the "on" position and press the override button once. The alarm chirps twice, indicating the alarm is active.

  • Hope this helps!

I need to disable my alarm on a 1997 bmw 528i.

Now im not sure since the manual says your model has the same alarm system as the 328i and on the 328i you can remove the module to disable by doing the following. you can unplug the control module. It is located under the glove box. Climb under the dash on the passenger side and remove a few screws on the trim panel under the glove box. Theres a black control module with a green connector. There should be a lock tab on the connector. press the lock tab and pull out the connector. The alarm should now be disabled. But if it has the special transponder key this may not work.
But if the only reason you want to disable it is because of the motion sensor setting of the alarm for no reason there is a solution for this. To disable the motion sensor, hit the lock button to arm, then hit lock button again within four seconds to disable motion sensor. Red light on rearview mirror should flash four times, then pause, then start flashing on regular intervals. this is most likely the reason if your having the issue where the alarm goes off every 20 minutes.
If you want to completely remove it below is a wiring diagram taken from the manual for you alarm system.

2002 Ford Taurus has no power. No head lights no dome light no horn blah blah. Ok first of all my cars alarm kept going off by itself off and on for 2 weeks. I come out to start the car and it goes click...

One possibility is that the battery terminals are either corroded or not tight to the battery posts. Second, the battery itself may have seen its days. Try another battery of simply replace it. If the problem still exists, the have a mechanic inspect the main wiring from the battery to fuse block. Your alarm device may have its own battery source. The tick tick are the cars systems relays trying to engage, but there is not enough power for them to engage.

Push reset button on black box about 4" x4" under dash by left knee. either has a small black button or it will have a thin wire coming off it with a small button on end. Should fix your problem.

I have a van and wont start

If it is an aftermarket alarm try this. Disconnect the battery. Put the ignition to run, reconnect the battery, and it should start. After it is running, finding the valet switch. Usually a small black button on the driver side panels. Push it and the alarm should sit in valet.

I have a viper 5900 car alarm installed with remote start.

Look under dash for a small black box with wires coming out of it, about 2 or 3 inches rectangular.. there should be one or two screws on it. Look to see if it says which direction to turn for sensitivity. As far as not receiving, you need a new antenna, this is covered under warranty through DEI either bring back to where you purchased or look online and see where the closest dealer is to you...
