There is a number of things that can cause this engine management light to come on. The fuel could be old, the plugs could be fould. After checking these things, reset the power and test operation. Good Luck

Dodge Journey horn honks on its own while driving or while switched off in the driveway. Pulled the horn fuses but the battery has now started draining overnight.

This problem might be a short circuit in the "clockspring' device that is in the steering wheel. That is pretty easy to replace and not real expensive. Youtube vids show how to do this.

How can i tell battery need replace

A car battery? Usually it will become sluggish and have difficulty starting because of the age of the battery. You may need to boost start your car at times.

However, the battery may just need charging (short journeys cause a battery to 'run down').

If you think you have battery problems - go to a workshop and ask them to test it for you. This is usually a free service.

I have a 2004 deville my battery run down over night

IF THEY CHECKED FOR A DRAW ON THE BATTERY AND THERE WAS NONE DID THEY CHECK ALTERNATOR OUTPUT? IF IT WAS IN SPECS THEN YOU MOST LIKELY HAVE A BAD BATTERY. YOU MAY WANT TO HAVE IT CHECKED AGAIN. THE DEALER IS NOT ABOVE MAKING MISTAKES

I have a 2008 dodge journey. We got it used a few months back. That last wk n a half the car will not start without being jumped and when it is jumped it only holds a charge for a few hours than is back...

First when you get out at night and close the door do the inside lights go off. If not owners manule . But it sounds to me you have a battery out ( shorted cell) replacde the battery asap and have alt. Checked again ...

For the past few weeks it has sounded like my Jaguar was struggling to turn over. Now it won't start at all. What should I do?

first thing you need to do is check the battery has not gone flat, check the battery connections are not corroded if they are undo them clean them up with some rough sand/glass/rubbing paper, then see if it will start, check the connections are tight, if it still dont start turn the ignition on the turn the head lights on then turn the key to start the car get some one to look at the lights whilst doing this if they go dim or off then your battery is flat.

if it is flat you need to get your alternator tested as this may not be charging the battery properly or it could be the battery needs replacing

a few of the main reasons a battery will go flat is if you are only doing short journeys and you have the lights on or heater or air con on if you have any of these on and your only doing short journeys then this is your problem, you car is not charging the battery up enough due to the short journeys its best if you are only doing short journeys to only use what you need to use such as lights. anything else causes the battery to drain quicker than it charges.

you could get some jump leads and get some one to jump your car that way then once its started go for a long drive at least an hour to fully charge the battery again, or buy a battery charger and charge you battery that way.

if the you have a picture of a battery on your dashboard that it lit whilst you are driving then this is telling you the battery isnt charging due to a fault with the alternator

hopefully i have given you a few ideas of the kind of problem you are having

Tom Tom One won't find satalites

sounds like a typical TOMTOM!

i would suspect that your battery is not getting charged properly before your trip The DC does not produce sufficient reserves to maintain a full chartge and so from time to time the signal will drop out and as ther battery depletes it gives wrong info and takes you on a journey to the land of the lost. Barc to Lisbon is a long Journey and unless you are charging inbetween stops at your hotel then your battery is very low. Charge it and it should work a lot better.

Phone won't charge or turn on

Try removing the battery and clean the contact's, then reinsert the battery and let it charge, if it do'es not begin to charge your adapter may need to be replaced, or your battery.

Short battery life

$orry, theres no fix to this, after a while batterys begin to die and the life becomes shorter. this could be due to leaving it on charge all day and night and not letting it frequently loose and gain charge again. even my laptop battery has began to lose its battery length - but ive had my battery for a long time. purchase a new battery and try to keep from leaving the A/C adapter in over night. you should notice alot longer battery length after that. rate me :)
