The TSSM will not cause these symptoms. I would suggest you start from the beginning of the work you done. If the bike was operating correctly before the work was started, then for sure you have done something incorrectly. Check all fuses as is one of these is blown due to incorrect wiring, then the supply to the clock/tack could be compromised.
Check for spark, check for fuel, is where one starts , if the starter turns the engine over. First check to make sure that emergency shut off switch is in the run position.
Cycle the ingition off for 10 seconds and on for 30 3 times. This will reset system. Mine just did the same this weekend. I got an engine light after, so the bike will be trailered to the shop tuesday. Sometimes you don't get the engine light which means you are ok. This was advice from the dealer that worked for me. I will keep you posted on the end result. It has something to do with the choke. It is a safety feature so you don't mess up engine.
I would think this is ok so long as it goes out in such a short time. Are you uding the proper grade and viscosity of oil for your motorcycle? Heavier oil will take a little longer to build pressure and put the light out.
If you are still concerned, speak with your Harley Service Manager. Costs nothing to ask him or her a question.
on your dash is the button to check your milage. push it in and hold it down until your codes come up. some of the numbers it will go through will only be ecm numbers
check engine will come on with the key, then when you fire up it should extinguish...if this is what is happening then relax, that's normal...good luck to you friend...Tim
Your check engine light is on because you are not providing the proper signal that used to come from the oxygen sensors. Install the sensors in your new exhaust (yes, drill it and put them back in), then connect the wiring correctly and it will work.
