Do you have good vacuum at the PCV valve? Remove your spark plugs and run a compression test. Sounds like you have a lot of blow by. Combustion gases blowing by the piston rings.

Where is pcv valve located on 1989 honda accord lxi

Locate the air box on the top center of the engine towards the back. The PCV valve is located on the rear, underside of the air box. Although on some Accord models, a small air box bracket may be present, which will block view and access to the PCV valve plugged into the intake manifold. If by chance the bracket is there, then remove the retaining nuts, holding it to the air box side with the ratchet and a socket. Reach onto the intake manifold with a pair of needle nose pliers, and gently pull the PCV hose and valve out of the grommet of the intake manifold. Hope this helps!!!

2007 4 cyl accord is loosing oil through the air

Some engines have what they call a pcv valve, it takes gases from the crankcase and vents them into the air cleaner to be burnt on combustion. There may be a problem whith that.

Oil filter is tight and seated properly, drain plug is secure and no leakage- have had some oil smell while driving the past week or so- pulled into home and oil smoke pouring out of engine compartment and...

Check Front main seal, rear main seal, or one of the EGR hoses. Check oil fill cap. Also check filter if seal was crushed too hard it may be spraying oil out of it. Where is the largest amount of oil? May tell where its starting from.

Check engine light after every oil change 2005 Honda

This happens because the oil filter needs to be free of air. When the oil pressure sensor drops below a certain value it shuts off the injectors because the PCM. This is a good feature because if you run out of oil for any reason it should stop the engine before damage occurs.
