SOURCE: picture wiring diagram for 2003 harley fatboy

May I suggest a trip to your local library. Cycle repair books should be in 646 stacks of reference.
Otherwise you can Google for 2003 Clymer Service manuals on the internet.
I think Clymer had electrical diagrams in their books. I doubt that any except the HD service book would have anything about the physical location of the harness, but the pictures in the other books would help you.

SOURCE: Part number for oil filter for a 1996 Harley

I like the long chrome filter for the Softail Custom or Dyna series bikes. The part number is 63813-90. The factory specifies the use of 20W50 weight oil and of course, they recommend their Sny3 synthetic oil. You can use whatever oil you like as long as it meets certain specs. These specifications are listed on the oil container called API specs. What you are looking for it an oil with a "C" rating suitable for use in a diesel engine. So many oils today are API "SJ" or "SH" rated only for use in gasoline engines, not diesels. Pay particular attention to this. This is what Harley says you can use in an "emergency".

Now the debate about what oil to use in a Harley is as old as Harley's themselves and I don't care to get involved in the discussion. There are several oil manufacturers that make lubricants that they claim is suitable for use in Harley engines. Mobil makes a "V-Twin" oil, Amsoil and Royal Purple makes oil that they say is suitable. I don't know about Pennsoil but I'm sure they've got something. I would recommend going to their website to see what they say. If it's not mentioned, either e-mail them or call them and discuss it with them if you wish to use their products.

Good Luck

SOURCE: free wiring diagram for fxstc

I've got a schematic for a '91 model Softail. It'll probably be close enough to do what you need. Did you have a specific problem? If you'll e-mail me directly at [email protected], I'll send you a copy of the schematic. I cannot do it on this forum as the maximum size limit is 150Kb. Much too small. Contact me directly and I give you what I have. Remind me of what you need.

SOURCE: where the oil drain plug is on 1999 fxstc

Softails are a little confusing on the drain plug, if you look on the right side of the bike, with you on it. Go toward the rear, where the swing arm is. run your hand just down under the frame, you will feel the allen of the drain plug Its its a 5/8" youll have to get to from under the bike.

I have a HARLEY 1998 FXSTC (EVO). can I remove the starter motor without removing the oiltank?

It is generally possible to remove the starter motor on a 1998 Harley FXSTC (EVO) without removing the oil tank. However, it may be necessary to remove other parts or components in order to access the starter motor.
To remove the starter motor on a 1998 Harley FXSTC (EVO), you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent any electrical accidents while working on the starter motor.
  2. Remove the starter motor cover, if applicable. This is typically located on the side of the engine near the starter motor.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connections to the starter motor. This includes the starter solenoid wire and the starter motor wire.
  4. Remove any fasteners that hold the starter motor in place. These are typically bolts or screws that hold the starter motor to the engine or frame.
  5. Carefully lift the starter motor off of the motorcycle.
It's important to be careful when removing the starter motor to avoid damaging the motor or the motorcycle. If you are unsure of how to remove the starter motor or if you encounter any difficulties, it may be best to consult a mechanic or the motorcycle's service manual for further guidance.
