Yes change the accumulator /filter drier and the orifice tube the orifice tube is on the high side line going to the condenser and the accumulator is on the fire wall passenger side but this system needs to be evacuated before this is done its against the law to release these gasses into the air so youll need a recovery system to do this dontforget to replace the seals also

No extreme measures need to be performed. They have a small kit that has the new low side quick disconnect adapter for $8 to place on the low side port of the old system. Remove the old schradder valve out very carefully as there could still be high pressure in the system, of the old port prior to installing the new adapter. The new cans of refrigerant require a new adapter for the cans and cost about $3 or you can purchase the bigger cans which come equiped with adapter, hose and ready to go. Get one with leak sealer to condition and help seal the system.

91 Mercedes 300 E has R12 ac system that is no longer blowing cold. A faint bit of cool air sometimes shows up but it can hardly be called cool. Is there any additive out there compatible with R12?

Propane does the same as R12. I don't recommend it though(highly volatile). Best to convert to 134R. Last time I converted an R12 system was about 10 years ago. I would tell you how to do it, but I could get in trouble because you have to vent out the R12 first. I don't even know of a shop that has an R12 unit anymore. Good for you, they still have the adapters to go over your ports and the 134R today is compatible with the old systems oil. No need to change the compressor, dryer, and expansion valve.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1978 chev monte carlo?

It should be in the carburator. Remove the supply line, then remove the fitting that threads into the carb. The fuel filter will be behind that.

How much freon goes in a 1991 honda civic?

Your Honda takes R12 freon, R12 freon is no longer sold, if your car has not been retro fitted to 134a freon, you will have to buy a retro fit kit, so you can install 134a freon, If it has been or after retro fitted, total freon 1.5 lbs 134a freon.

I have a 1993 Chevrolet c-1500 truck with A/C. It is not blowing cold. I noticed that the sticker on the compressor says R-12. What can I put in that is safe?

You Must Change over to 134-A and this Requires Replacment of All Internal Rubber "O" Rings
Although I Have Purchased the ADAPTER Fitting and Just Filled My Personal Vehicles With 134-a With No Problem

Have a 1999 Z71 chev truck with 5.3 L engine that has fluctuating oil pressure. Started with low oil pressure after start with engine clak that disappeared after it warmed up. Changed oil and found sludge...

In some cases where the oil is not changed properly, the oil pump screen maybe plugging or your oil filter is defective. Fram is a good filter. If there is no problem found, replace the pressure sensor.

2004 Chev Silverado Z71 1500 4wd reverse doesnt work and i have to let off gas to shift to 2nd gear truck still runs great except for reverse thanks in advance from beatrice

That was a good suggestion by Molson. Also, if you have been doing a lot of heavy hauling, have them check the strainer, which could be a problem as well.
