Changing a clutch on a manual dodge avenger 96

The compressor magnetic clutch is located and attached to the front of the AC compressor and the engine drive belt goes over it

I helped a mechanic,once,to change a transmission mount(?) and in the process he pointed at a plug on the side of the transmission and he said it was where you fill up with fluid (oil or transmission fluid,depends what it uses) you start filling and as you do, you check level by sticking your finger in the hole and stop filling when you feel the tip of your finger get wet.... Good luck and wash your finger afterwards!!!!!

Clutch pack in the transmission went out, most likely. If so you will have to rebuild ****** or get a used one

check the auto shut down relay,check fuel pump relay and the fuel pump pressure

What about the ECU unit ?? think you will have to change the whole lot of wiring includint the ECU and the chip in the key from the donor vehicle

Check the transmission oil cooling radiator [and fan(s)] to check for proper cooling--blow out the radiator fins with compressed air. Check the color of the transmission fluid to make sure that is not being contaminated.

you really need to have a diagnostic scan performed on it and also see what codes come up and you may most likely need to rebuild your transmission or maybe just have a shift kit installed which isnt all that much money.

Check the cooler lines, they will only leak when it is running.

unhook the battery for about 15 minutes and hook it back up... that should reset it

I suspect DEXRON fluid has been used instead of ATP +3. I hear the consequences are severe.
