there is a lever in the front compartment under the bonnet, adjacent to the headlight. I think the whole headlight unit comes out in one peace giving access to change the bulb. Pull or push on the lever whilst easing out the headlight unit.
first if you are changing the bulb only and it is a HALOGEN
there is a round acess hole in the inner fender remove it and change the bulb
if you have HID lights or are changing the head light assembly then you have to remove the front bumper facia
hope this helps
hope you have HALOGEN lights
Yes, you can. Just take off the front grill, and the headlights assembly. Don't tinker with the head- light assembly adjusting nut, as this would change your headlight level. Take headlight bulb off and change it. Replace the headlight, then, the grill, and it's done.
Headlights Removal & InstallationWARNING Halogen bulbs contain a gas under pressure. Handling a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass fragments.
To help avoid personal injury:
Turn off the headlamp switch and allow the bulb to cool before changing bulbs. Leave the headlamp switch off until the bulb change is complete.
Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
Handle the bulb only by its base. Avoid touching the glass.
Do not drop or scratch the bulb. Keep moisture away.
Place the used bulb in the new bulb's carton and dispose of it properly. Keep halogen bulbs out of the reach of children
To Remove:
Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
You have to remove the front grill. I just recently had this problem and turns out bulbs were okay but relay switch had to be replaced..make sure its the bulbs and not a fuse or switch
you should be able to take the light out from the front after removing the grille and headlight surround, this is if it what we call in Australia a "80 series" landcruiser.
you should be able to access the connector and bulb without removing headlight assembly. lift the hood and you should see the connector behind the headlight.
