I had the same problem, different vehicles. Mine, the time between would get shorter and shorter. I started having trouble with everything electric, alternator, starter, battery. I never found the problem and it has sit up on the hill for the last 6 months. You need to scan the whole wiring circuit/harness of the fuel pump. To be honest, you need to have it put on a machine and scanned. You have an electrical issue somewhere. I know it is a hassle. I have been there. I didn't have that type of money. That is the best advice I can give you because they are hard to find. It will save you in the long run, as far as time and money goes.

My personal suggestion would be to go for these repair catalogs from www.reliable-store.com instead. much better info on all vehicles,
complete details, and they also have live assistance feature

Have a 99 suburban its been sitting for a year and had no problems but now the engine is missing changed plugs cap and rotor but same exact problem

If it's been sitting for a year with the same fuel, drop the tank and flush it and the fuel lines completely. Also take out the fuel pump and replace the fuel pump screen and don't forget to replace the fuel filter as well. Fuel WILL go bad sitting for that long.

I wonder if my suburban 91 has any fuel filter before the fuel pump (between the fuel tank and pump) that would be changed sometimes in a while.

according to advance website your fuel pump is electric and inside the tank. the only pre-filter is thus the screen around the pump inlet. years of detritus can collect around them, but you are going to have to lower the tank and pull it out to see. it is 20 years old and a replacement would be in order anyhow if it has never been changed before.

How much does it cost to replace a fuel pump on 04 hyundai sante fe?

fuel pumps are kindda expensive, especially on import vehicles. Number one cause for fuel pump failures is heat. When your rinding with the fuel below half, the pump is party exposed inside the fuel tank and when exposed for periods of time it tends to heat up and then gradually burns out cause you to replace it. It's ok to go below half but not to often, I hope it helped abit.

Truck won't start

If it has a vortech V8 It has to have the right fuel PSI or it won't start. Also pick up in distributor could be causeing problem. Cross over style distributor cap also can cause problem. Out of oil? Fuel pressure regulator where found inside the intake manifold with injector cluster, if fuel psi regulator goes bad could be leaking fuel in intake causing oil to get deluted and burn.

1999 gmc suburban fuel pump

I had the same problem with my 99 suburban. There was a memo sent out by GM to all of the service shops that tell them when you replace the fuel pump or just desconnect it you need to replace the pigtail wiring harness that connects to the pump or it will burn up the new pump. I went through 3 pumps before I found this out after I replace the pigtail it fixed the problem.
