hi ther you are missig 2 small parts >>>at gearbox end ,the ball end goes throw the fork and a rubber bush with a **** metel slide that goes on cable to retain it bit like a lolly pulling throw your two fingers closed together stops at the lolly pop.....lol mmm getting hungry lol

The problem is the window regulator. It isn't that hard to replace. MY son had the same problem and the dealership said it would run him more than $500 to fix. We did it in a couple of hours for less than $40. Here is a link to the part:

#1 rule. Always mark/tag wires when doing this kind of job. Sorry but it sound like you need to back up on the transmission hook up.

need to know whats wrong... motor not running, it is running and not moving window etc? the window regulator/motor is sold and serviced as one peice. dealer about 160, local auto parts sell this aftermarket too for 99 bucks, i own one of these lol. it comes with the cables motor and al assembled just install it. only thing is the aftermarket ones are an updated design that requires you to drill a few new holes indoor cage to mount. not hard, even comes with a template. good luck and i hope ive answered you question if not let me know

solid lifters? i could be wrong but i think they are hydraulic lifters. ive had quite a few of them not pump up when re-installing the valvetrain and cause a tick. pull off the valvetrain and check to see if all the lifters/tappets are firm with no squish. that might be your problem

depends on the 8th digit in the vin# . i was told a y goes with y and a 9 goes with 9 . so if it has the same vin# as yours go for it. also i would check the computor service numbers. whats the last 4?

dose it have an electric fan ? if it does look to see if the fan is working hope this helps.
