Where is water pump location?

Year make model ????? Most all water pumps are belt driven and will be on the belt side. Some are driven by the timing belt or timing chain and will be behind covers that need removal for access. Some are on the opposite side of the engine driven by the camshaft using a belt as well. Can't help any further without engine/vehicle description

Water pump

All three of these engines a timing belt driven which means the water pump is also timing belt driven. The water pump is located behind the timing belt covers on the front of all three engines. The timing belt has to be removed in order to service the water pump. Yes coolant can leak out the pump when it is bad.

Is santa fe 2009 water pump driven by timing belt? should water pump be replaced when timing belt is replaced? If water pump leaks will it destroy the valves?

whether it is driven by the belt depends on which motor you have in it, but it seems to me that yours probably is. standard practice is to replace the pump at the same time you replace the timing belt if it is indeed driven by the timing belt, and no, you will not harm your valves if your water pump is leaking, but if the water pump bearing fails and the belt shifts position then you will almost definitely bend your valves.

300M 3.5 V6 2001 CHRYSLER JUMPED TIMING BELT OR BROKE CAR JUST QUIT AT STOP LIGHT

This engine is what is known as an interference engine, so if the timing belt lets go like this you most likely have bent engine valves and or piston crown damage. The best advice i can give is have a new belt, water pump and automatic tensioner pulley installed and see if it starts, you may get lucky, my wife did when hers let go a year before I meant er. You can purchase a timing belt "kit" with all the parts here is the part number and price.

There is radiator fluid leaking on the driver side close to the front wheel, about 8 inches in under the car

Hello Candow.

You did not mention year, model or engine size but on most Honda vehicles the front of the engine faces left.
This would indicate a leak at the front of the engine. Possibly a bad hose or a water pump.
The water pump is driven by the timing belt so if it is the water pump it may be a good idea to have the timing belt replaced at the same time.
Have the system pressure tested to find where it is coming from.

If you would like further advise concerning this issue, please ask me here in a comment.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Does the harmonic balancer need to be removed to replace the water pump?

Hello mue037,

Yes, the harmonic balance pulley must be removed as well as the timing belt. The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

Replace water pump on 2001 chrysler sebring

if you have the 2.4 engine, the water pump is external and driven by the timing belt.you need a water pump - timing belt component kit. the 2.7 has a internal water pump driven by the timing chain. here again you should install a water pump- timing kit. 2.7 is more complex and expensive to change

At what mileage should I change the timing belt on a 2004 Mitsubishi Outlander. Thanks Sherry

It is suggested by any mechcanic to perform this maintenace every 80,000 miles if you properbly maintain your vehicle. That mean going by the owners manual suggestions. Also I would highly recomend changing the water pum as well for it runs off this belt and water pumps only last as long as the belt will also. If a new belt is installed without a new water pump it may fail in no time. I seen it happen more than a dozen times in the past ten years

2004 chrysler 300m 3.5L waterpump location and does it run off the timing belt/chain

Yes the water pump does run of the timing belt system.
Directly from the service manual:

The 3.5L water pump has a die cast aluminum
housing and a plastic swept vane impeller. It bolts
directly to the right rear timing belt cover using an
O-ring for sealing. The water pump is
driven by the engine timing belt.

REMOVAL
The water pump on all models can be replaced
without discharging the air conditioning system.
WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE PRESSURE CAP
WITH THE SYSTEM HOT AND UNDER PRESSURE
BECAUSE SERIOUS BURNS FROM COOLANT CAN
OCCUR.

NOTE: It is normal for the water pump to weep a
small amount of coolant from the weep hole (black
stain on water pump body). Do not replace the
water pump if this condition exists. Replace the
water pump if a heavy deposit or a steady flow of
engine coolant is evident on water pump body from
the weep hole (shaft seal failure). Be sure to perform
a thorough analysis before replacing water
pump.

(1) Drain cooling system (Refer to 7 - COOLING -
STANDARD PROCEDURE).

(2) Remove accessory drive belts (Refer to 7 -
COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS -
REMOVAL).

NOTE: The water pump is driven by the timing belt.

(3) Remove engine timing belt (Refer to 9 -
ENGINE/VALVE TIMING/TIMING BELT AND
SPROCKETS - REMOVAL).

(4) Remove water pump mounting bolts (Fig. 31).
Note position of longer bolt for proper re-installation.

(5) Remove water pump body from engine
