Go to the main fuse box under the hood, black box marked plainly, main fuse box.lift the cover off, look underneath the lid for fuse and relay locations. check main engine fuse, ggod? check fuel pump fuse and relay, good? check e.c.m. fuse, good? then turnyour key to 'on'position,do you hear the hum coming from underneath the jeep? it may take 2 people,1 to listen,1 to turn the key 'on' not start, just 'on' you should hear a humming from the gas tank,if not,the fuel pumps not working, the 'hum' will last about15seconds only. after you've turned the key to 'on' 5times turn it over and try to start it.does it try to run? just a little? if so,then it may be a bad fuel pump,or bad fuel pump relay only. hope this helps you.thank you for choosing fixya.com
Most likely the ignition coil assembly, in some cases the ignition module is faulty.

Check the Crankshaft Position sensor. Usually it will reveal itself through the check engine codes. If this is faulty, the coil will not get the signal it needs to fire.

a bad crank or cam sensor can cause this as well as a bad computer...find a reputable dealer or garage to check it out for you
