93 mustang dies no apparent reason

Not sure if you fixed your stall issues but....have you looked at the pip signal on your fox mustang? My 1987 mustang gt was doing the same thing it got to the point where the car failed to start. It was the pip sensor located in the distributor. I removed the distributor and took out the pip sensor replaced it with a oem replacement re-timed the car its ran great since. I also went to the boneyard and grabbed a few tfi and installed one on my distributor most mechanics suggest you do this when you replace the pip sensor. Hope this helps someone dealing with this issue on there 87-95 mustang gt. Took me about 45 minutes

Nitrous? Ideas?

this is a 1983 Lincoln Mark VI i would save your money and buy a mustang or some fast car this is a bad idea nos is not hard on the engine if u have a good tune and run the right jets and all its not a easy thing to just hook up and go it takes time any money and a tune to make sure ur not runing to lean or rich and might need to run cooler plugs as well but if this is your every day car dont do it its a bad idea and if u get pulled over with the bottle hooked up they will impound the car and all its for off road use only!

Want to install an after market performance chip in my 2009 Mustang V6. Is it worth it and do they really work??

they do work very well, as for cost you get what you pay for, buy the best, if you want real power install a NOS kit they make bolt on units for your car they can be installed in just a few houres and that ill give you you a kick in the pants.

I have 2001 V6 Mustang. I was keep putting 87 octan gas but just recently I changed ontan gas from 87 to 91. Is it going to hurt? I shouldn t change it?

No it will not hurt and there is no reason to switch to a higher octane gasoline with this engine. Certain engines in Corvette, Cadillac, etc with special combustion chambers utilizing different types of metal for performance need higher octane gasoline. Your v6 does not. If you hear knocking, have your valves checked and make sure you oil pressure is good. If you switched for no reason, switch back and save yourself $$$

Thermostat installation on an 87 Ford Mustang 5.0

Drain the coolant of the radiator or pull the lower radiator hose off. Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine where the distributor is. The hose clamps on to the thermostat housing right there. Remove the big hose and removed the little hose and remove two half inch bolts holding the housing to the intake manifold remove the thermostat in clean the gasket surface with a putty knife and a wire brush. Install the thermostat and then gasket using shellacke or sealants. Reinstall bolts and hoses. Fill with coolant. Remove one of the heater hoses for the throttle body to vent the trap air out of the engine. Do this with the engine running then check the coolant level again. Good luck.

I have an 87 mustang gt,can the thermactor system be disengaged without causing harm to the engine or anything else, I live in San Antonio and vehicles are not required to be tested for emmisions so...

other than being illegal if yes all of that can be bypassed. Remove the smog pump and lines and plug the holes in the back of the cylinder heads with pipe plugs. remove the vaccume lines for the themactor silinoids and plug any off going to the engine. then you can go order a shorter belt and no more smog system. it was installed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.

97 5.0 mustang replacing motor mounts

You just have to jack up the engine under the oil pan. Then simply unbolt the mount bolts. Some guys think it is easier if you do one side at a time by jacking one side up at a time. It does make it a bit easier to locate the bolt holes during install.
