1995 ford tauras wont start....Before it stopped starting it would chug whenever i would slow down at stop lights and stop signs and such but i could start it back up again. Now it wont start at all. it will crank over forever but it wont start. any suggestions?

code p 0720 refers to output shaft speed sensor (OSS)---circuit malfunction===causes ---wiring --- OSS sensor--- ECM---TCM
as the OSS reports shaft speeds to the TCM so that he correct ratio can be selected, I would be having it tested / replaced

maybe but i dont think so, lost key coding woiuld allow to start fine and smooth and then shut down after a few sec. the best way to track this problem would be with a scan tool.
not sure what year or engine is in this nissan 55 plate but scanning for codes would be the best way to start

the fuel pump is going bad

I have a 98 Windstar and it would die when pulling up to a stop sign, slowing when coming to a stop or making a slow turn. According to Ford recall 98E03 EMISSIONS RECALL some vehicles may stall during deceleration when coming to a stop, during slow speed parking maneuvers and/or coasting thru slow sweeping turns. This may be caused by the Powertrain Contro lModule (PCM) calibration dropping the rpms too quickly during deceleration. This involves reprograming the PCM. The revised calibration will allow the engine rpms to drop slowly during low speed maneuvers to reduce the possibility of a stall. Call your local FORD dealership (have your VIN handy) and have them check to see if this recall has been performed on your vehicle.

i would start with some simple things like fuel filter /plugs /plug wires

u need to have all the air removed from your fuel lines

have u checked the fuel filter, how many kilomiters on it could be a fuel pump, or ignition censior

you need to have your throttle position sensor checked. tps its starts goi9n bad and get erratic readings to the computer. i just experienced some what the same problem, come to stop sign, let off gas pedal it dies. i set up the idle a lil bit and solved the prob and then had tps checked. replaced it and solved the prob. not 100% that that is the prob but that is what i experienced.

It sounds like you have serious injector issues.
