Remove center console extension

  • With parking brake released, depress brake pedal forcefully one time.
  • With parking brake released, tighten cable adjustment nuts until levers (arrow) on brake calipers lift off of stops.
  • Maximum 1.5 mm (0.059 inch) from stop (arrow) is permissible on each side
  • Pull parking brake on 3 times and then release again.
  • Check that both wheels turn freely.

SOURCE: replace antenna on 2003 mr2 spyder

Don't know what you mean by fabric? The antenna is located behind the rear tire molding. By removing the rear tire and then the black liner in the wheel well you can gain full access the the antenna. I removed the power antenna and dis-assembled the housing to remove the broken plastic extender for the antenna mast. I then installed the new mast. It now works like new.

SOURCE: 2003 MR2 will not idle

I had the same problem. My check engine light was on. Took it to the dealer and they checked the code. It was the throttle control motor failure. The good news is I got the wiring wet and that seem to be the problem. They reset the check engine light and it runs fine now. Bad news is if I had to get the motor replaced they said it would be about $1300.00 I hope things work out for you.

How do you adjust the e brake on the 01 mr2?

You will have to lift the console out of the car and you will find two adjusting nuts on the cables at the parking brake lever. Tighten the nuts equally and the brake will be adjusted. Do not over tighten them or your brakes will burn up.

    Aiming headlights

if you don't see little bubble levels near the headlight under the hood then you must have them aligned with an optical aimer, if you do have the bubble guages then park the car on a level pad and set the bubbles to center with the little adjusting screws near them.
