I own a Hyundai xg350 2003 model. The engine is a 3.5l V6. One of the 3 frontal ignition coils got burnt and i got it replaced with another hyundai ignition coil. The replacement coil also got burnt on the very day it was replaced after cranking the engine and the engine running for a while. As of now, the engine now works on 4 cylinders, sputters a little, is always reluctant to move from a dead stop position and the car consumes more fuel than necessary. What is responsible for repeated burning of the ignition coil ? Please help with answers. Thank you.

Heat is usually the cause for most coils going bad. It can be from the inside or outside of the coil. It is possible that you got a defective coil. Just because they are new doesn't mean they work. Factory flaw. Take it back and try it again.

Where is # 1 cylinder located on a 2008 Hyundai Tucson

The location of the number 1 cylinder in a 2008 Hyundai Tucson is determined by the engine type and layout.
Hyundai Tucson 2008 models comes with 2 different engine types :
  • 2.0L I4 engine
  • 2.7L V6 engine
In both engines, the firing order is 1-3-4-2, and the cylinder layout is inline or straight.
The cylinder layout of the 2008 Hyundai Tucson with 2.0L I4 engine is inline 4-cylinder, meaning that the cylinders are arranged in a line, one after the other. In this configuration, the number 1 cylinder is typically located at the front of the engine, on the driver's side.
The cylinder layout of the 2008 Hyundai Tucson with 2.7L V6 engine is V6 engine, meaning that the cylinders are arranged in a "V" shape. In this configuration, the number 1 cylinder is typically located at the front of the engine, on the driver's side, and it's the first cylinder on the left bank.

Hyundai sonata 2004 configured with 2 ignition coil ,after engine running one of the coil didn't read square signal (no output) other one working good

no engine told at all
2 coil packs and 4 cylinders is called, wasted spark
firing order 1,3,4,2
coil HV terms are mark 1,4> and 3,2
if one pair is open, both die in the spark
if you mix wire sets like 1>3 2 cylinders are dead, but spark is good.
firing at the wrong time.
the best coil packs are cylinder #1 stamped on the pack
lacking that put labels on it first. or replace HV wires 1 at a time
or engine spark is wrong as will be the engine too.

no 4clinder runs on only 2 cylinders, no way , sputter like mad sure.
what is this square signal stuff. (you have scope, like me)>?
no engine told at all nor market (country it was sold new)
if the cam belt slipped as they LOVE TO DO at 60k to 100kmiles.
and this kills spark dead or is way way retardedd spark now.
tell how all this started, there is and untold story.
7 engines to work on any car engine, first learn what is there.
the tell it. guessing I4, and 3 coil packs but which one?
nor country
short list there are more. so says WIKI.
1.8 L Beta II I4
1.8 L Sirius II I4
2.0 L Beta II I4 (China)
2.0 L Sirius II I4
2.4 L Sirius II I4

Cam sensor location 3.5 l V6 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe

The camshaft position sensor on the 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe 3.5L V6 is located on the side of the engine block, just below the ignition coil packs. It is held in place with a single 10mm bolt. To replace it, you must remove the bolt and then unplug the wiring harness. Once the old sensor is removed, replace it with a new one and plug the wiring harness back in. Finally, reinstall the 10mm bolt and tighten it securely.

I have a PO350 code on my Hyundai xg350L. What does it mean and how do I fix it?

When is the code detected?
The test fails when the Engine Control Module (ECM) does not receive a valid pulse signal from the ignition coil.
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of Power
- Engine may be harder to start
- Engine hesitation
- Rough engine idle
P0350 Hyundai Description
The ignition signal from the Engine Control Module (ECM) is sent to and amplified by the power transistor. The power transistor turns ON and OFF the ignition coil primary circuit. This ON/OFF operation induces the proper high voltage in the coil secondary circuit.

What is the PO320 code? what is wrong with my 2005 Hyundai xg350L?

P0320 Hyundai Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Possible causes
- Faulty Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor
- Faulty Crankshaft Position sensor
- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor harness is open or shorted
- Ignition/Distributor engine speed sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Low battery charge
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
What about the obd code?
The P0320 Hyundai code is triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that there is no current at the ignition coil group
Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Lack/Loss of Power
- The engine may be harder to start
- The engine may stumble or stall
P0320 Hyundai Description
Ignition failure sensor is used to check whether the spark ignition is occurred correctly or not and also used to tachometer drive. The sensor monitors the voltage difference between a resistance which is on the battery circuit for ignition coil. When the ignition coil works properly, the electric current through the resistance is detected as voltage drop. This is confirmed for every ignition event with the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor. If ECM detects a malfunction, no ignition is possible, so the engine would not start. If there is no ignition signal for a predetermined cycle for one or two ignition coils, an ignition coil circuit failure exists.
