Could it be a bad alternator fuse?

I recently replaced the alternator and battery on this car and now it's presenting symptoms of a bad alternator again (battery warning light is lit on the dashboard, battery keeps on discharging). Does this car have an alternator fuse? If yes, where is it located? If it's not a fuse, what else could be causing the problem?

Check the underhood fuse box, it will be a large "MAXI" fuse. But be aware if the alt came from a discount auto parts store I have gotten 5 defective rebuilts before giving up and buying it from NAPA.

Make sure the belt is tight and the alternator is not slipping.

Check fuse 13, which provides the field voltage. Also check the 120 amp fuse link for the charge wire.

New alternator and battery but still drains battery and dies while driving.

Possibly a bad fuse which is not allowing the power from your new alternator to make it back to the battery. Do you have alternator voltage making it to the battery when running?

Sounds like the battery. Your local parts store can check the battery and charging system of your vehicle.

Why no one has the answer for the "gauges light on" for Jeep Wrangler 1998?

get a meter and use to test with fully charged battery. the big wire should have battery voltage if not ck fuse if fuse good ck fuse box, if voltage present ck connector with running one should have battery voltage the other less than battery voltage. if no battery voltage alternator no good. if no voltage on less then battery its signal comes from ecm/pcm trace back wire to ecm/pcm if any bad spots repair.if ok replace ecm/pcm. if battery voltage present on other wire it goes to the alternator cut out relay trace wire and repair if bad,if good ch relay im not sure how it is wired but will try to find out tomorrow and get back to you.

My car won't start, you hear one click, but nothing, we have to jump it to get to start. The alt. and the batt. and the starter work fine.. Plus our headlights don't work.

If the vehicle need to be jumped then the battery is too weak to start the car.
1. replace battery
2. with good battery start car and check charging system If voltage reads below 13volts possibly the alternator is bad.

Check bulb in headlight ( do not touch the glass part of the head lamp)
a good way to check is replace one with a new one see if it comes on.
If not check fuse for the headlamps ( I am assuming you are talking about low beams)

02 F250 7.3 battery light just came on, is this indicating a bad alternator or battery. Other than the light there are no symptoms so far

The light can be on because the charge or ALT fuse under the hood in the fuse/relay center is blown, or the alternator itself is not producing enough voltage.
