Need car stereo code for honda accord 1995

stereo codes for Honda

Method 1 (all applicable models except '03-07 Accords with the navigation system)
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Turn on the audio unit, and make sure you see stereo COdE in the display. If you don't see this message, pull the backup fuse for 1 minute, and then go back to step 1.
3. Turn off the audio unit.
4. Press and hold the 1 and 6 preset buttons, then turn on the audio unit. The display toggles between two screens. The first screen displays a U and the first four digits of the serial number (for example, U2200). The second screen displays an L and the last four digits of the serial number (for example, L0055). Ignore the U and L, and write down all eight digits.

Method 2 ('03-07 Accords with the navigation system)
1. Turn the ignition switch to ACC (I).
2. Turn on the audio unit, and make sure you see COdE in the upper display. If you don't see this message, pull the backup fuse for 1 minute, and then go back to step 1.
3. Turn off the audio unit.
4. Press and hold the top halves of the SEEK/SKIP and CH/DISC bars, and then press and release the PWR/VOL knob. This display toggles between two screens. The first screen displays a U and the first four digits of the serial number (for example, U2200). The second screen displays an L and the last four digits of the serial number (for example, L0055). Ignore the U and L, and write down all eight digits.
5. Call Honda Dealer for Radio Code.
6. Use the TUNE knob to enter the first four digits of the anti-theft code into the audio unit. (Ignore the last digit; it's not used.) When you turn the TUNE knob, COdE disappears, and a single digit is displayed. Turn the knob left or right to select each of the anti-theft code digits. When you press the TUNE knob, the system beeps and accepts each digit as it spells out CODE on the display.

How do you reset erre for radio on 2004 acura?

Look in the Acura book that came with the car then you have to do this: If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!

Audio Unit Self-Diagnostic Mode
NOTE: To enter the speaker walk-around test or audio unit self-diagnostic mode, the audio unit must be turned on and in radio tuner mode (AM/FM).
  1. To enter the following tests, depress the desired preset button while in the speaker walk-around test or while in the audio unit self-diagnostic mode.
  1. To exit the audio unit self-diagnostic mode, turn the ignition switch or the audio unit off.
  1. If the concern remains and the fault is not detected, proceed to the Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics.
  1. The audio unit self-diagnostic mode has five tests available:
    • Preset button 1 = Audio internal/external SELF TEST. This test is an on-demand self-test. If SELF FAIL is displayed, press TUNE > to scroll view the DTCs stored. Refer to the audio unit Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index. If the system is OK, SELF PASS will be displayed.

    • Preset button 5 = DISPLAY TEST. This test will light all the audio unit display segments for five seconds. When the test is complete, DISPLAY TEST is displayed on the bezel.

My bose car stereo system no longer has sound. When the radio was first turned on, it would take approximately 5 minutes until there was sound coming from the speakers. This got progressively worse until...

i had multiple problems with my stereo in my terrano just recently. first started with the digital trip meter going out and no audio, that was to do with the earth cable which came from te car. on mine it was a pink and silver cable, maybe it was done wrong from who ever wired it in first but it didnt like it so i went straight from the head unit to the chassis... secondly it could be the amp control cable. it may be loose or something. and thirdly a problem my friend encountered with his stereo was that the unit would turn on but no audio and after sctatching at our heads for a while we thought we'd go through from behind the head unit and remove each speaker when we took one out of the equation we got audio and it was because the speaker was shorting against the car body which would prevent any other speaker from working. hope these help. as for the dimming im not quite to sure maybe get a multi metre onto the power and see if its reading 12v.

Radio does not work.

what you need is the radio code to get rid of the error code just disconnect both battery cables touch them together for approx. 30 seconds reconnect cables turn on the radio it should read code there might be a credit card size card in the glove box with the radio code if not look for a sticker in the glove box this is your radio code if not then the radio has to be removed to get the radio seial# then call a honda dealer up give them this number and they can look it up or if your bought the car new call that dealer up they should have this in their history
