Where is the egr valve located on a 5.9L engine? It's a 2000 Dodge van 3500. I've replaced the idle air control valve and i'm still getting jerking. i had people tell me it might be a bad egr valve. thanks.

dirty or bad idle air control valve i would at worst the egr valve but most likely the idle air control valve which controls the air and idle from the throttle body try taking it out and cleaning the tip as well as in the throttle body where the control valve goes in if that dosent work replace it and the check engine light does not have to be on for it to be bad.good luck to you.

Check / replace the high tension leads.
I had a problem with hessitation / jerking also at very slow speed in stop start traffice. I was the EGR ( exhaust gas recirculation )valve. Car is now like new.

Have the idle air control valve checked, if that is ok, then further testing needs to be done to find the problem.
