Engine sputters accelerating

no year? no engine? GC ,, . (crd 56?)

there are many engines, used, so we cant guess that.... and is totally Germain.
here ill tick off a few, for low power, and there are many simple tests.
  1. a tuneup, do the 60,000 mile listed tuneup now. Bam, runs.
  2. low compression on any cylinder. or all.
  3. bad spark (see tuneup)
  4. if 1996 and newer, scan it , in USA scan the ECU/PCM.
  5. bad fueling? too little or too much.

this is engine power, we need the year, the cylinder count and displacement. of said engine.
here is a shop manual.. 93-2004 years

Hi , I have a VW Golf Mk 4 1.4 petrol and it is really slow past 3000 rpm in any gear...it just seams to run out of steam. The timing belts and water pump was replaced recently as well as the clutch.

ur problem cud be a tuneup--change or test plug wires--coil--etc/alsoinjectors may need cleanin or u may have vacuum leaks--do a complete inspec and a data stream run to get values-code readers arnt enuff info---------obtain a repair manual for procedures and dont go to a dealer

I have a 1997 chrysler sebring lxi. We just did a tune up on it. It is still running rough on idle. We drive it about 80 miles then when we slowed down and went into idle it stalled. Before the tuneup...

Codes from the on board readout are: 12 is just telling you that you're accessing the codes. 34 is an open or shorted condition detected in the speed control vacuum or vent solenoid circuits. The IAC (Idle air control Valve) is located on the throttle valve just below the throttle cable attachment. It is held in place with 2 torx screws and has a electrical plug on the end. Try cleaning the inside of the throttle plate of carbon or dirt build up with MAP sensor cleaner or may need to replace the IAC
