I get water in the floorboard of the driver's side when it storms. I had the windshield replaced already and the mirror has been sealed. When the carpet was pulled back and left that way for a while, there was no water when it rained. What could be causing this?

The driver's side floorboard of my 2013 Chevy Captiva is soaking wet. There is no evidence of water anywhere else. No dripping water from sunroof, on dash or seats.

Odds are you have a plugged drain tube somewhere.
The sunroof will have a drain tube running down one side of the car through one of the pillars.
The HVAC unit has a drain tube ... but that usually drains on the passenger side ... so probably not that
The windshield cowl area (where wipers are) has a drain tube...which if plugged could lead to water getting probably on either side. You may have to experiment with pouring water in those areas and seeing if it freely drains to the underside of the the car to determine which drain tube could be the culprit.
Ohter non drain tube issues ... you have probably already checked ... like the rubber seals around the driver's door

Water on drivers side floorboard . Why?

If you have a sunroof it could be the drain that follows the front pillar letting out under the front fender. These hoses are known to plug and crack open releasing water into the floorboards.

Driver side door check along top and front edge for tears or twisted looses sections. Internal to the door water can drain down along the window and is released outside the door seal. If the bottom of the door has the opening that releases the water plugged then water will drain over into the floorboard.

My windshield was replaced now my A pillar area gets soaked every time it rains

Sounds like the repair place either didn't get a good seal all the way around the windshield or there may be some rust-though in that area they didn't seal. Take it back to them and have them fix it. It should be part of the replacement warranty.

I have a 1998 Chevy Suburban.whenever it rains the driver side floorboard becomes wet. door seals are good. where could the leak be coming from?

Possibly from the windshield. Is there any rust around the windshield area? Check for debris in water drain outlets under the wiper arm cowling.

Could be a leaking hear core or hose that goes into the core.

Water leaking into driver side floorboard

If you have a sunroof then you have a clogged drain tube but usually you will see that the water is dripping form overhead in the liner. Otherwise you may have a rusted out spot behind the front driver side wheel. Maybe leak from windshield seal but that would be most noticeable.

My 2005 taurus has started getting a pool of water on the passenger side floorboard after a heavy rain, any ideas on how to fix, didn't see any leaks from windshield.

Look for moisture on the glass of the windshield, as well as the passenger side door, if thebottom seal isnt making contact on the door glass water will run in threw the door

2002 Galant, floorboard on driver side completely soaked

try having an assistant 'water'' your car with a garden hose while you're in it.especially check seals at windshield & doors.it could take a few minutes of ''watering'' before a leak shows up.
