My BMW M3 (E46) on start up clicks once before it fires up and the ABS and another light (maybe SMG) flash yellow and there is an audible beep. When driving, from time to time, usually in conjunction with a gear change, but not always, the same thing happens, an audible beep, yellow warning lights flash, the volume on the radio mutes and sometimes the TV screen goes blank, a couple of seconds later it all comes back to life. Ive recently changed the battery but that didnt solve it!

is your climate control lit up , is the blower working ? if not look into blower resister and plug or fuse.

your mirror control switch has 9 wires.,your drivers door mirror has 5 wires color coded .from your mirror control switch to your drivers siide mirror / 0.5 black .0.5 brown. 0.5 brown. 0.5 black. 0.5 black.
your passenger mirror wires are 0.5 blue/black .0.5 blue/grey. 0.5 blue/white. the passenger mirror has a ground cable 0.5 brown.
the passenger mirror wire 0.5 green/white connects to a 5amp fuse/F25 onto F31 5amp to a wire 0.75 green/yellow.back to the mirror control switch.

What you are hearing is ground loop interference. If you have an aftermarket headunit/amplifier this is a common occurrence. A ground loop isolator in line with the low level amplifier inputs should solve the problem. Otherwise, it may be a malfunction of the stock cd unit or amplifier. BMW used a balanced input on some of the stock amplifiers, which would make ground loop interference all but impossible.

i had the same problem. when you press the close/open button can you hear clicking noise under the pannel? if yes, you will hawe to chenge the relay. only place to get it is from this site: http://www.bmwgm5.com/GM5_FW_Relays.htm

If you took this in and had BMW do the work to fix it and it is not fixed why do you not return to BMW and get it fixed, If you have paid for a repair and the repair did not solve the problem have them refund your money.
