    Hi please let me know what the problem you are having is as i will do my best to help you

  • Anonymous Jul 11, 2010

    hi, ok no problem, now the problem you are having could be down to several problems but first can i check you have tried the fade settings on the stereo you know the settings that let you choose to have the sound louder out of the left speakers or the right speakers and the same with front and back, so check these settings are sett correctly so they are balanced left and right and balanced front and back, doing this may solve your problem.

    If after doing that you still have no sound on the left side then the problem is likely to be the following causes, if you have 2 left speakers one in the front and one in the back of car and if both are not working then the chances are the amp in the stereo has shorted and has blown a resistor causing the sound to only come out of the right side, if this is the case then the chances of getting the stereo fixed cheaper than buying another one is slim as the labour charges would be more than a new stereo.

    if you have only one left speaker say in the front of car then the problem could be down to a loose wire in back of stereo or loose wire in the door speaker to check these you need to remove the stereo and also take the door card off on the left side and just check the wires are still fitted, if they are than the problem will be the same as above and the amp will be up the shoot thats built into the stereo, how ever if you do find loose wire then connecting this should get your stereo working again.

    Those are the main reasons your stereo would stop working on the left side make sure you check the balance and fade on the stereo's settings just to make sure this has not been changed and is just playing out the right speakers changing the balance and fade will get the left working if the fault is with the settings on the stereo.

    Have a look and see what you find out then let me know ok

    hi, if the stereo switched off as in it lost all power then this would maybe point towards the connectors on the back of the stereo coming loose it may just be that the wires have vibrated loose and need refitting into the back of the stereo, but to check this your going to need to take the stereo out and if the stereo is the one with 2 holes at either side then you need a tool to get it out, now you mention the other problems i would point towards the wires being a problem at the back of the stereo, so that would be the first place you should be looking.

    let me know what you find ok

I need the wiring colour codes for 2002 santa fe car stereo

Hi,

Basically the wiring of the large harness corresponds to the pins like this.

Starting in the upper right hand corner and working down the right side from A12 down to A1.

1=Left rear output-red
2=Left rear output-blue
3=Right rear output-black
4=Right rear output-yellow
5=empty
6=Left front input-black
7=Left front input-yellow
8=Left rear input-orange
9=Left rear input-green
10=Amp 'ON'-blue&orange
11=empty
12=Amp sensor-black&orange

Back up to upper left hand corner on the large plug

13=Right front tweeter output-red
14=Right front tweeter output-blue
15=Left front tweet output-red
16=Left front tweeter output-blue
17=empty
18=Right front input-red
19=Right front input-white
20=Right rear input-blue
21=Right rear input-red
23=Right front sub (+) output-yellow
24=Right front sub (-) output-black

The small harness is the same above with the upper right position being pin 1 going down to pin 4 then back up to the top for pin 5 down to pin 8.

1=Memory Power-Lrg White
2=Amp Ground- Lrg Black
3=Left front sub (+)output-yellow
4=Left front sub (-) output-black
5=Left front mid (+) output-white
6=Left front mid (-) output-brown
7=Right front mid (-)output-brown
8=Right front mid (+) output-white

Hope this will help you.

Thank you

Left turn indicator comes on dimly with application of brakes. No bulbs out.

Lots of possibilities, but the most common is a bad ground of the entire light assembly on the left rear.
That makes the left rear brake filament ground back up through the left rear turn signal ground, through the left rear signal filament, and all the way back up to the dash left indicator light, then finally to chassis ground. Just check if the left brake and left signal are both dim and come on together.
