Start the car.Warm it up by taking it for a drive.Pull up and select all the gears and finish in neutral. Now check the the tranny fluid from the dipstick. If it needs adding,it is to be put down the dipstick tube.Thats why most tran fluid bottles have the small pullout tube in them.It does not flow in very quickly so be patient.Hope this helps

How does one add transmission fluid to 1995 jeep grand cherokee laredo?

Look for the dipstick where you check the transmision fluid level. If you need any you pour it down the dipstick hole. Add it in small amounts and check in between additions, its really easy to overfill. Once overfilled a real pain to get it out.

Get a funnel and add it to where you pulled the dipstick out of to check it.If you dont know where the dipstick is check by where you add the brake fluid it should be right off to the left but down toward the engine more

My 1999 jeep grand cherokee sometimes shifts wrong

check to see if your fluid is low or burnt. if it is low then just add enough to cover the fill mark on the dipstick. if it is burnt, remove the transmission pan and filter and replace the filter. then add new transmission fluid.

!995 jeep gr cherk. transmission fluid. add hot

Its best to add while all is hot..
Leave it runing in park while adding fluid..
Put a little at a time and keep checking being careful not to over fill..
The dipstick mesures in pints - not quarts..

Rate well ;o)
